We needed a step up from the stater models & this machine is serving us well. With the i5 processor it is strong enough to run fast & mulitple apps at the same time. Have had Dell machines for years & have always found them good.

This laptop worked as expected right out of the box. Setup was straight forward with no issues. Seems well built and solid.

I had a lot of demands for my new laptop. Even though I was upgrading from a very old machine (Toshiba with Windows Vista from 2009) I wanted my new laptop to be as sturdy and problem free as the last one, but with higher specs. I had never bought a Dell before, but used a laptop and desktop for work, and really liked them, although they were clunky and not beautiful. I am so happy with my laptop. It has a metal frame, which I like for its sturdiness (I really did not want plastic). The keyboard is very easy to use, has good responsiveness, and is backlit. The screen is very large and fairly good quality - for $610 Im very happy with it and can surf the web, watch streaming video, and do work, without any shortcomings. It has a built in webcam and mic which I have not used yet. And it has limited bloatware, which is partly why I steered clear from HP (as well as the fact that HPs seem to have more issues as a %age of their units, judging from past experience). The touchpad is responsive and easy to use, without being overly sensitive. I had used Windows 8 on my 2-in-1 Asus so I knew what to expect at the downside. But to be honest I generally use the Desktop environment rather than the Tiles, so no drama there. I love the sleekness, which is why I did not mind sacrificing the optical drive. And there are enough USB and other ports to keep me very happy and plugged in. I would highly recommend this computer to anyone who is looking for a sturdy, fast, good performance laptop with a very large screen. I would not recommend carrying it around (it's bulky), and I would not recommend it for people who want a touchscreen (I specifically did not as I find it distracting/inefficient). At $610 I feel like I got a real steal.

This version is very good and very fast and more battery life.

The laptop is pretty lightweight, the fan is also really quiet. It arrived a week before the projected receiving date, which was awesome!

It doesn't have the extras like the new computers. Not as fast as I thought it would be but for the price that I paid it does everything I need it to do. Haven't had any problems yet.

I am enjoying my new computer. Learning all the things it can do. Love size and light up keyboard with number pad.

Very fast laptop. Keyboard is easy to the touch. Easy to setup.

Came without part of the plug in cord. Called Best Buy and they couldn't do anything about it so I called Dell and they took care of me.

This is my first laptop and I love it! I own a small online business and purchased this computer for work. It allows me to do everything I need in order to keep my business up and running.

AMAZING! I do gaming for youtube, and it's pretty good. HD quality. But as I said before, it only has 920GB.

Took a little time to get use to the set up after being on another type for awhile, but I love it !

Great value for the price. Very fast laptop, long battery life

15.6" Screen is perfect to watch movies\shows. 8GB Memory is all you need but more is always better. 1TB is enough Hard Drive space for an ordinary person like me that stores Music and Movies.

This computer is a trusted name at a very competitive price. The features are all that you need and the weight is very reasonable.

I especially like the Hard Drive size and the Memory capacity. The 15.6 inch screen is perfect for my needs.

Wanted a laptop with sufficient processor speed and memory to handle internet traffic without lagging and to store our documents, pictures, and videos without needing to use external storage devices...Dell deliverd and BestBuy provided rapid service and great internet security programs

excellent device, but you got to be careful there is no CD drive, I did not know this, until I wanted to use the CD drive, !
