Our daughter needed a laptop as she begins her secondary education and this fit the bill. Seeing as laptops are designed to only last of couple of years, I wanted to stay around the $500 mark. My 4-star rating is only reflected by it's speed; it's freaking slow. I knew it was only 5400 when I bought it, but being so used to SSD's, I forgot how slow 5400 can be. I definitely would have preferred a 7200 but you get what you pay for.

Purchased this laptop in July 2016. Less than 3 months later it quit powering on. After hours on the phone with Dell, it was determined that the motherboard needed to be replaced (ON A 3 MONTH OLD LAPTOP!!!) Dell replaced the motherboard and 2 days later it quit working again!!! Dell has lied to me over and over again and they refuse to replace it! I was told by Dell they could not fully help me because I purchased it from Best Buy. Best Buy refused to let me return it for store credit. Will never buy a Dell again nor will I shop at a Best Buy as they do not stand behind the products they sell.
