Bought this laptop as a backup to my first laptop because it was damaged. While the speaker is pretty low it makes up for performance. It's pretty fast, which is always a plus. Backlit keyboard for working in the dark. Sometimes it goes to sleep if no activity is made but that can be shut off. The battery life lasted me for about a good 5 hours and this is while running YouTube, three other tabs and a few more applications opened. If you go all the way till windows tells you your battery is low, give it about 1hr 30 mins to 2 hrs for fully recharged.

The screen has hit every con their is for LCD screens. Viewing angle is terrible(IT IS A CHOIR FINDING THE RIGhT AnGLe), brightness is terrible, contrasts? Think they got lost in production. But their is touch, kind of. This screen seems to absolutely ruin what is a decent set of hardware. Minus the 1tb 5400 rpm harddrive, which is as terrible as the screen, was the first thing I replaced with an cheap 120gb ssd and reinstalled windows and buried the. This totally unlocks the ryzen 5, ram, and Vega 8. Not a beast but extremely snappy in every day activities, and very light gaming(very light borderlands2, company of heroes. My recommendation is something really anything with an IPS Screen an a SSD. Also worth noting i picked this as open box was 200+ less the MSRP. Needed something that could perform well for tuning my car, so having a screen is a reasonable compromise for good performance potential with ssd, ram upgrades, that are easily swapped out. Everything is modular once you get the backing off. Also room for a quick m.2 pci-e ssd. Looks like battery and wifi controller would be basic replacements as well. IPS screen jumps the pricing up a lot so if you find one at this price range you are trading off a good screen for less performance. Well hope this helps someone in making their next laptop purchase happy hunting.

This laptop has everything I need for work and play! The touchscreen is wonderful and it is so fast, I never have to wait for things to load. The memory is big enough for work assignments plus music and movies at home!

Could not be happier with this open box item. My wife needed a faster laptop...and she got it. Internet rides smooth. No buffering on streaming. Great looking case. Love the lit up keyboard. Almost looks like the Mac Air.

I'm a freelance writer/copywriter and I needed a new laptop after my old one stopped holding a battery charge at all (and some other issues). This one has bee great so far! It has a ton of space for my videos, photos and works etc. (Plus my media server easily connects to my Roku allowing me to watch any downloads on a TV instead). The battery life is pretty good, particularly since I don't run a lot of programs simultaneously. I bought it on a Black Friday sale so the price was very reasonable and even though it didn't really matter to me the touch screen has actually had some benefits. Overall for what I need it for, it's great, it works fast, has lots of space, good battery life and overall does what I need it to do.

This laptop has not disappointed. Not only can I do typical things on it like surfing and email but it works great for editing photos and video and some light gaming. Wonderful laptop. Recommended highly!

This computer is very good for work due to the screen size. Ha very powerful processor and decent amount of RAM. It has a lot of storage. Dells are also good brand.

Bought for my wife to get faster machine at home. It has all the new features and touchscreen is a plus. The Disk is noisy and battery life is not stellar . Overall good machine for the price if you are looking for a bargain machine that does the job and you don't mind the sniping disk noise.

A solid, reliable performer but a little slow. I discovered the unit had an internal NVMe M.2 interface slot so I switched to an SSD 1TB NVMe M.2 boot drive (from the standard SATA 5400 rpm rotating media drive). Now the unit is a screamer! Battery life is still only OK even with the switch to an SSD drive.

Perfect laptop for busy student, super fast and works well. Does everything I need it to with internet browsing and documents. Can’t fault it! Touch screen is immaculate and never lags.

The laptop is fast, it is touch screen. Overall I would recommend.

Was surprised by the speed of the Ryzen chip. I bought this for my sister -in -law and she seems to love it. It is being used for an online masters degree program. The Ryzen chip was fast enough to keep up and it showed speed in areas that Intel may be slow. Has a 1080p screen that looks good also. Cons may be that It may need a little more memory if you intend on intensive games or applications.

Despite the salesman's attempt to upsell me to an Intel processor and Ink, I purchased this with the AMD processor. On paper, it was faster. And, I'm not sorry. I found that this one does have Ink capabilities when I was adjusting my preferred settings. It is touchscreen, but does not have a tablet mode.

Purchase this unit on sale ($460). Website claimed unit had a six-core processor (up to). Unfortunately, that did not mean this unit had six cores, just that the amd ryzen chip was capable of having six cores. I used the unit for about 2 weeks before returning it. During that time I benchmarked it, tried running some games (Diablo) and I was very underwhelmed by the performance. It wasn't slow but just didn't seem to have that pep I was looking for. Overall the system build felt cheap, the display was not very clear and seems blurry and colors a bit muted(1080p). The mechanical drive (1tb) had plenty of storage but ran at 5400 RPM's which is bottom of the line in performance.

So this is really my first laptop. Compared to my desktop it's great. Super fast wifi, has all connections I need. I don't have a need to run multiple apps on this or gaming, but it does the trick for surfing. It does run a little hot though.

Works great, is fast, no lagging. My son loves to use it for homework, watching videos and playing games

Needed a pair of economical (cheap) basic laptops. Didn't need anything fancy. These Dell models were on sale and I couldn't pass them up. The store was out of stock, but our very helpful and knowledgeable salesman arranged to have them shipped directly to our home. When we got them and I began to set them up, I was surprised to see all of the features packed into this lower priced model. Very happy with my purchase!!! Thanks. These laptops greatly exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to using them for all my computer needs!
