This Dell computer is fast has great memory and is very stylish

The laptop is pretty basic. Have owned dell laptops and PC ever since I was little. The issue I'm seeing consistently with this one is that, even when it's sitting on the kitchen counter (flat surface, plenty of airflow) the laptop will randomly overheat and fan kicks on full power. This is just from idling or maybe sitting on a web page... Not sure what the issue is. Even my old XPS which was used mainly for gaming did not have random heat/fan issues. Unfortunately it's beyond the return date.

Works great and love the touchscreen. Fast and reliable

It's a nice laptop for the price. Good size, nice lighted keyboard, and the touch screen is nice. I would recommend buying an SSD though. I purchased a Samsung - 970 EVO 250GB. The screw to hold the drive is in the laptop already. And the cloning software Samsung provides works fantastic. It really made the laptop perform much better.

Good value and potential to increase memory and storage.

This laptop is perfect for any school or business purposes...with an exception. It is an absolute must to put in an Solid State Drive (SSD) into this laptop. Otherwise it will be unbearably slow for most users. Also the Hard drive (HDD) I got was very noisy when it booted on so I found that annoying. A simple $60-80 500gb 6gb Sata Solid State Drive will get the job done nicely. If you get this and don’t know how to install one yourself or don’t know what to order. You can just talk to geek squad and they can help you find a decent drive and they will install it for around $100. All in all, great laptop. I love the speed, I love the touch screen, I love the keys. The only thing I can be picky about is they stated in the specs that the ram is 8Gb in 1 slot. When in fact it is 2 4Gb sticks in both slots. (AMD runs much much better/faster with both slots filled so this is not a bad thing if you don’t plan on upgrading RAM). If you do plan on upgrading to 16Gb, it does suck a little because now you have to buy two 8Gb sticks of RAM. If you planned on upgrading to 32Gb then obviously this doesn’t apply to you.

I am a retired IT pro and bought this unit for my wife. She wanted a laptop with a touchscreen. I thought her old one was fine, but I had to use it one day. NOT! So, I got her this one, and doubled up the RAM. WOW! Wish I'd bought TWO!

Purchased this laptop to replace my ailing 17"dell touchscreen (backlight went out) while I loved it, it would cost way more to repair it than to replace it. I purchased this one because it has most of the features of the old 17" except for the fact that this one does not have a CDRW drive. After the 15 days which I could return it the laptop started having issues and of course it is now up to Dell to address them. While watching videos online or through xfinity go, Netflix etc, the video blurs and jumps.. reset the drivers..no dice. Then while you have 2 Edge tabs open it is slow to respond. Looked at the Task utility and the laptop was using 80% of its memory?!! Dell now wants me to mail the laptop to them.. so they can remap the whole computer... it is now 25 days old...what awaits?....

I previously had a Lenovo which the screen went bad, so I checked out this Laptop and found it was comparable to the higher priced Lenovo brand and this Inspiron was much more affordable. I am pleased with my purchase

I bought this as a cheap update to a 2013 laptop that I'd been gaming on. It's not great for games, but it does the job on low to mid settings. Definitely not the greatest for them - but if you don't care about higher frame rates and are a casual gamer it might work okay. I also use this for discord voice and video chats and it's okay for those. Not super, but decent enough. Finally, I do a lot of writing and browsing and it works fine for those. All in all a decent little computer.

This laptop is lightweight and works really fast. Never any lag in loading websites and accessing anything that I need.

This is a nice starter computer for my kids. They are used to the touch screen and it works well for their school work.

I bought this computer to speed things up. That is, my last computer was slooooow. This one is much better.

It has been a pleasure owning this laptop it plays all the new games and even more fortnite runs on high and pubg on max the warranty that Dell gives you is great they fixed my battery and it now runs for about 6 has. Great laptop

Good computer for the price. Bought for a college student + a recent grad. Does what they need it to do.

Wife was in school and needed an easy computer to minuvour. We really wanted a Mac but it cost too much.
