Not to good on multi-task operations, good for beginner basic use ok.

This computer is great for my daughter to use and learn on. The only negative we see with it is Windows 8, as the app screen is not the easiest to use.

We use this laptop for day-to-day items (email, web browsing, bill paying, etc.) and it works well for us. There were much more expensive models that would be far superior for things like gaming or other high memory usage programs but for us, they were over the top in parts and price. This laptop is a great buy fore the price.

Very basic but fills the simple need to use Office and the web. Windows 8 a very different experience but after a week adapted. Touch screen is a big help. Laptop starts quickly, decent battery, and reasonably fast. Always had good luck with Dell products and this seems to be consistent.

my last computer was 12 years old so I am having a great time learning all the new stuff, ad to adjust my touch.

Computer has a great touchscreen. Fast download times, and Windows 8 is great. Really enjoying this computer.

If you are looking for a laptop that is a good value as well as practical, then consider the Dell Inspiron 3000 series. It can be used with a mouse as well as touch screen mode, Just add your Microsoft Office and customize it to your needs and you have a great machine for not a lot of money.

I bought two computers as Christmas gifts. I'm very pleased with the speed and functionality. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money for a touch screen.

Not impressed. Runs slow. Hard to learn the windows 8

This laptop is replacing a desktop. It takes a little bit to get use to the change in keyboard and the pad vs. a mouse, but that was solved with a wireless mouse. The one other thing that is really needed in this machine is a solid state drive. The hard drive is routinely spinning up and if it was running on the battery would definitely be a drain. I thought 4 gig of RAM would not be suffiicient but it appears to be functionally insignificant in our use of the computer. Finally the touch screen allows you that ability to do some of those tablet type functions that Windows 8.1 allow. And when you work in that finger touch arena on your phone and tablet, those abilities are a nice "touch" and easy; once you learn the motions that 8.1 allows. The computer is not too heavy either and easily transports to another room and sitscomfortably on your lap. I'd actually give this a 4.5, but 1/2 stars are not in this rating system.

I loved this touch screen laptop that I bought for my son that I ordered one for myself. I use a desktop every day at work, so a laptop mouse is awkward for me to use. With this I can use the touchscreen for navigating and the keyboard for data entry. Better yet, when I ordered the second one, it was on sale and I saved $50!

Laptop is really good. Works fast, no speed issue or lag. Touch screen works perfectly.

The quality and Performance of this laptop really surprised me. I found it to be very fast and And very easy to use as well. The touch screen makes windows eight a lot easier to handle. For the price I paid this is a very well-rounded excellent deal.

Solid lines, well built, touchscreen is awesome, speakers are not an issue - sounds great. One of Dell's better all around laptop products if you can find it selling for Sub-$370

Laptop works great, unfortunately stuck with windows 8.

My daughter is in college and needed a laptop that was powerful yet not bulky. She had an 11" laptop but it didn't have the processing power she needed. She looked at tablets and the combos but they don't accept programs, just apps. This fit all of her needs. I had it shipped to the Best Buy where she was for the holidays, and she picked it up form there, at no cost. Good job Dell and Best Buy.
