Very easy to set up, voice directions walk you through the process. But then the screen turned dark blue and froze. Returned it to best buy, a new 1 was ordered to be delivered to my house, it never arrived. Had to contact corporate a new 1 was shipped out, received it today. Fingers crossed it's going to be a keeper. I do like the fact it's a touch screen.

Light home computer use. Used mostly at home in one or two rooms. I don't travel with it. Use microsoft office products including word and excel and internet use and email. I have a lot of photos but they are on an external drive for now. Will likely store most photos on the cloud or burn to external DVD. I don't play video games so can't comment on use of the computer for something like that. I chose this configurations with the SSD and intel i5 set up due to my positive experience at work with a Hewlitt Packard SSD, quad intel i5, 16 gig unit which is extremely fast. Working on my home computer feels very similar. This computer SSD provides very fast startup and response time when opening and using various programs. Unit is very quiet and runs very cool. No disk spin or fan noise. Screen seems fine; small but sufficient for my needs at home. Purchased this product on sale for $400.00 and for the money felt is it a very good value. I tend to like an external mouse but the mouse pad seems fine and the touch screen is an added bonus. So far this is my third dell computer in the last 20 years. I tend to get rid of them after about 10 years as they seem to slow down a lot toward the 10 year mark with all the software upgrades. No complaints about Dell products. Last laptop computer locked up and I decided to just upgrade rather than try to fix it. No regret about the upgrade (glad everything was backed up). Can't imagine ever using a hard drive again.

This is my first Dell. I've owned many HP computers & laptops. Most came with issues upon start up. This Computer is amazing. Super easy for those like me whom are not advanced tech gurus. very easy setup, easy to understand features, and the large touchscreen is a bonus I'm totally in love with. No issues with speed or lagging

Basically, the PC is very fast and it does performance well, but it does not support 5 GHz speed. I have a 150 Mpbs speed internet. Lucky that my router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz settings. Otherwise, it would not pick up my network.

I have had this laptop about two weeks. It is a very good personal and light business laptop. The build is a little flimsy compared to the more expensive units but still substantial enough if you are careful with the handling. The speed is great due to the SSD and 8MB of ram. I am very happy with this purchase. Buy this on sale as I do not believe it to be worthy of the 599 price tag otherwise.

Bought it on black Friday and it was for 399.00 couldn't believe it for the price, the computer works super fast, had a Samsung laptop and it was old model and was slow and had to upgrade to a better one and found this on sale and it was a great deal, love my new computer, got this one as early Christmas present and I personally recommend this computer. Thanks best buy for the super sales!

Great moderately-priced laptop, particularly thanks to the 256GB solid state drive and the 8GB DRAM. This is night & day faster than my prior Windows 7 laptop. I use an external keyboard and display while working at home in my den, and so this review does not take the internal keyboard or display into account, other than to say the built-in display seems reasonably clean and crisp.

Excellent laptop for the price; extremely fast with the 256 GB SSD hard drive and 8 Gig of ram. The touch screen was a bonus you only find on higher end laptops. The keyboard has a nice feel with good reaction on the keys.

I bough this few days back when it was on Black Friday pre-sale. I have done a good research before finalizing this deal, You wont find equal or better configuration for this same price of $399. Getting 7th Gen i5 processor with 8GB Ram and 256GB SSD is very rare. It is lightning fast in its category. Fast boot up because of SSD. Very responsive touch screen.

I use this computer for work, personal shopping, and keeping up with social media. Okay and reading the news sometimes, too. I love it! The touch screen feature helps when my fingers are tired from clicking and typing, and it's very fast. It even survived a trip down my wooden stairs. 10/10 would recommend

I didn't want to spend too much and got a great deal on this laptop on black Friday. It ended up being the best purchase all season. It is very fast and efficient. The volume from the speakers is great too. My last laptop you could barely hear, so that is a plus for me. If you are looking for a great, simple to use laptop, this is it!

The laptop is good value for money. It's not FULL HD though but it is a touchscreen. I picked up a good quality refurbed item and ran into a bit of trouble setting it up when it kept rebooting. I had to restore the original image and it's been smooth sailing since (fortunately such things as retstoring the factory image are quite easy for me to do). The laptop is a touch plasticky and while you can have great finish with plastic, this one is not in that league. The plastic has some give in a few places but for the money I paid, this is good value for money. With the SSD drive and 8GB this works very well for routine tasks. It's quick to bootup and responsive.

Purchased a year ago for my HS freshman at roughly the same cyber special price it's selling for now. Wanted specifically i5, 256 SSD, 8GB RAM, touchscreen. Yeah, maybe a bit cheesy looking and maybe a tad chunky, but performance for this price is worth it. I can see this lasting through HS for my teen.

A very solid, affordable laptop that boots up quick with the ssd and is able to handle your average every day tasks. The touchscreen is a nice choice. Battery life is decent but not great.

Upon setting up my new Dell laptop, I was surprised it talked to me to help the process. My old laptop is 7 years old. It was becoming slow but I wasn't sure if it was the age or net neutrality. I need speed when I read my paper online in the morning or completing other tasks. This seems to be working out great for now.

This laptop was bought on Black Friday weekend. It has exceeded my expectations. The SSD is superbly fast, with a boot time of only a few seconds. Very little bloatware. The screen is vivid and bright. The sound is excellent for a laptop. Touch screen is responsive. Highly recommended for casual use or low level gaming.

This little laptop has been performing just great! Speed is amazing with the 256GB SSD. The touchscreen just makes it so much easier to use. Plenty of memory for high performing apps. Love it! I definitely recomment this to anyone who needs a powerful laptop at a budget price!
