I bought this laptop for the size of the screen as well as it being a touch screen, I did take into consideration processor speed and Ram, both are more than adequate for my needs. The only negative I can say about this machine is the touch pad. Sometimes the touch pad is non responsive, having to tap on it more than once and other times you can just hover your finger over it and it will react. I also don't like the left and right click tabs as they are physically part of the touch pad so if you touch them when the pointer is on something you wish to click on it will often move off the item.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas to replace an aging Sony Vaio. She says she loves it. The touchscreen works well and she is getting used to Win10. I felt this computer offered really great bang for buck features.

Laptop was considerably slower than my 8 year old Dell desktop. I wanted a Dell because I use one at home and at work. I trusted Dell. Had to restore the computer to former state twice. Would lock up all the time. Took it back to Best Buys and exchanged it for a HP. No problems with the HP so far. Still the HP is slower than my Dell desk top. I'm not saying. I'm just saying.

This replaced an older HP, but seems to be slower even with a step up in processor and memory. Maybe Windows 10 is to blame. Overall good quality.

Spent close to $1K on a Dell Inspiron laptop and, naturally, just out of warranty and it's dead. This thing had wireless problems out of the box Dell refused to do anything about WITHOUT charging me. Called support - straight to India - where they emailed me a service contract and asked for a credit card number even though I only had it a couple days and WAS under warranty. Should have returned it then - but bough a NetGear PowerLine adaptor as a workaround after Best Buy's "tech" people found nothing wrong with it. Of course, they did nothing to replicate the problem - just ran a basic diag on the wireless adaptor which said it was fine. Waste of $100 for them to do squat. (It connected wirelessly ONLY if it was next to the router - walk out oft the room and it drops the connection. Every other device worked fine and my OLD Dell (Business) laptop connected without issues). The HOME models are absolute garbage. A few months out of warranty and the hard drive is no longer seen by the BIOS. Save yourself a TON of aggravation and don't make the same mistake I did; DO NOT BUY A DELL and DEFINITELY NOT the PC's for HOME use; those have cheapest components possible designed to break in under 2--years...

Keyboard Woes

I'm writing this withoutmaking any corrections to the things the keyboard doeswhen you use it.namely, the spacebar and otherkeys are horrifictouse. Now, I'll make corrections...and take twice as long to type something as you would on almost any other computer. I could have gotten as good a computer for less...and I would recommend that to anyone buying a new laptop...avoid this one.
