The first few weeks with Windows 8.1 and tiles was difficult, but things are going much better with Windows 10. This Dell is fast has a beautiful screen and runs quieter than any of my previous Dells. I did not like the sound quality until I realized that I needed to activate the included sound software. I also had to adjust the sound balance but now Spotify sounds great. I can listen to music and work on Ancestry, which both take a lot of bandwidth, is that the correct term? I am almost 70 years old, but I do notice and hate the pauses and glitches, and this system has some pauses but I think it is because my software needs to be updated. The cd/dvr is hard to open. I want bigger, higher dots on the panel as I have trouble finding it by touch. Overall, I am pleased with the Dell and windows 10. Please note: I also deactivated McAfee which kept interfering, tried the Geek Squad security package which came in the bundle/deactivated that; and installed Norton which I like better. Norton gives me good reports, lets me choose sites and backup options and reminds me to do routine system maintenance

This laptop had faulty keyboard backlight. Aside from that, I preferred this Dell laptop over HP latops because it has a large esc-key. Also black letters on silver keys is much better than the HP habit of white letters on black keys. Also HP laptops often have problems with the touchpads. The touchpad on this Dell worked well.

The Dell Inspiron laptop has been an absolute dream since the minute I turned it on. Setup was a snap, Windows 8 is very intuitive and has saved me tons of time, and the computer itself is light, bright and has a gorgeous display. I though having my old laptop die was terrible, but it turned out to be a good thing in disguise because I got this new beauty.

Very nice computer for basic day to day functions like word processing and surfing the web. Good size too.
