I got this laptop 2weeks ago. I would say this laptop works good, but there are two big issues about this. First, the serious trouble is the graphic is not scaling for new software!!!! For example, my SQL server almost works nothing because windows run it's options and buttons on each other and it impossible to work with that and first time I thought this problem is come from SQL but when it happened for my printer software as same and when I read article about this laptop on other forums, I saw same issue for other people then I got it is serious trouble and if it doesn't fix then I'm gonna return it because if this laptop has graphic issue means worth =000
second problem is, the fan keep making noise non-stop and laptop gets super hot that U are not able touch it, for it will burn your fingers!! which is weird. However, this laptop works great about other things.
I hope after this review someone can solve my graphic problem at least!

Hello Amin,
We're sorry that your computer has not been performing the way that you hoped it would. We'd recommend reaching out to Dell's Technical Support Team about the graphics issue that you're experiencing: http://dell.to/2sH7Qlm.
If you'd like to minimize the fan noise on your computer we'd recommend these steps:
Update the BIOS: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.
If you have additional questions about your computer you can check out our Product Support Page here: https://dell.to/2O6wTx8.

Simon,
Thanks for your feedback. Please note that there was a new BIOS for your computer released in early September. Please make sure that your computer has this latest BIOS in order to help with the overheating that you're experiencing: https://dell.to/37OVu1X.
Here are some additional tips to help with overheating:
Tips for Proper Usage:
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue. 2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system. Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage. 3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%. 4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis. 5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance. 6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

Hello, I bought a Dell laptop on 06/29/2019 (Order Date) and the order number was BBY01-805630793059 (ORDER #). The laptop was delivered on 07/04/2019. It was an open-box, according to model: "Open Box - Dell - Inspiron 13.3" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD + Optane - Black Model: I7390-7100BLK-PUS SKU: 6339272
Condition: Certified ".
The computer was received by my sister, who was vacationing in Orlando. On 07/14/2019 my sister returned to Brazil and gave me the computer. From the beginning I noticed that he had a small scratch on the screen and also one near the keyboard. I am very disappointed with Best Buy, because even though I knew it was an open-box, I believed that it was at the Excellent level (Open-Box Excellent - Certified). Despite the sadness, I decided to turn on the computer. Everything seemed fine and I started to do the Windows configurations. However, when I was on the screen to put the wifi network, the computer simply shut down. I thought it was the power plug, but I checked and it was working. I turned on again and restarted the settings and again it hung up. I repeated the process several times until I was able to configure Windows. I started using windows and again it shut down. I noticed that it is getting very hot and that the cooler makes a lot of noise. I believe that the shut down should have something to do with it. I tested it in "cabin" mode with the nearby air conditioner and managed to leave it agum time without turning off. However, when I put it in normal mode it shut down in less than 5 minutes. Unfortunately I live in the state of Amazon, Brazil, and I have no idea what could be done. I would really appreciate your help. I'm very regret I bought the open-box. I believe it would have been much better to buy the band new version. Please help me find a solution for this.

Everything as promised. Great performance w/ one of the faster i7 processors, 16GB memory and more than enough storage for my needs. Touch screen is a sharp as advertised and responsive.
A little shy on USB ports, comes with two. Added a J5create USB type C multi adaptor (see separate review) and haven't had a problem with useable ports.

This laptop is overall a great product. It is nice and lightweight and very portable. The pen housing unit is very convenient. It runs smoothly with little performance issue. For a 2 in 1 the addition of the hdmi, usb-c, and usb 2.0 is very impressive. The only downside is that the left hand side of the keyboard can get hot sometimes when the battery is plugged in while in used, but overall this laptop is very high quality and almost as good as the xps series.

My daughter has had a desktop running Windows 10 plus the student office package for quite some time. Was looking for a light-weight tablet or laptop for her to take to class to take notes, etc. But was concerned that the tablet-style aps would not be easy to translate into the Office style programs. Then we saw this product. Flip the lid one direction, it's on aps, flip it the other, it's on Office. So she has BOTH available to her while in class. Solved our concerns and with an I7 processor and 512 GB of SSD storage, it is very adequate! While we just stopped in Best Buy to look, we ended up purchasing on the spot. Hadn't had it long, but is living up to expectations.

I was looking for a new laptop for school because my current one pooped out on me. It was a very basic laptop that I bought in 2016 so it was definitely time for an upgrade. After looking around in store at the computers that Best Buy has to offer, I stumbled upon this one. I had never had a computer that could transform into a tablet but I immediately liked the concept. The computer can flip a complete 360 degrees which I absolutely love because with the smart pen that comes with it, you have the ability to write notes like you would in a paper notebook. When I’m in my down time, I can watch Netflix and YouTube videos with ease because the picture quality and sound quality are pretty nice. I can even play simple games, like Stardew Valley and Pokémon TCG, on it without worrying about too many complications or interferences. My only issue was that the bottom got pretty warm after extended playing of the games, but to be fair, I didn’t leave room for it to vent. Overall, this computer meets all of my needs and I would definitely recommend it.

I was deciding between this laptop and a new MacBook Pro. I decided to go with this one because it has as much capability as the MacBook Pro and it's less expensive. I love how fast it is and it being a 2 in 1 with a 4k touchscreen and with a stylus it provides me both the ability to have a convenient laptop for me to take away from home and it has the ability for me to take notes as I would with a brand new iPad. It's amazingly light, too. It was the best option for me at this time.

I bought this laptop a few months ago. I got it to replace my older MacBook Pro and I’m loving it! It’s very thin compared to what I’m used to and it’s extremely fast. I mostly use it for online school work and it’s able to keep up with all the programs that I have to use. My only complaint about it is that sometimes the fans run a lot and they aren’t quiet. Other than that I think this is a great and powerful computer. I highly recommend it!

So glad I bought after Nov 1, cuz anyone that has Gold or Platinum Best Buy Card has till Jan.14 to try certain items!!....so I REALLY used EVERY feature! The 13" Black series is awesome as far as running many process & PC funtionality. Keyboard is great. Dell Connect is great!! ...BUT BATTERY...doing anything other than JUST surfing the net, it gets about 3 hrs b4 plugging in & runs VERY WARM charging & hot if simple surfing simultaneously! NO rear camera & not the greatest front cam if you need to take a pic, as far as shutter speed. Tho its decent for video-chat! Dell should have used entire screen for picture...there is near 3/4" bezel at bottom. Ended up taking back & getting Galaxy Tab S6.

I really enjoy how easy it is for me to transport and use this laptop. The design is very sleek. It boots up very fast and runs efficiently. I appreciate the 2-in-1 feature, frequently using it to take notes. Microsoft Edge's notes ability is outstanding. I always open pdfs to do reading and it makes taking notes and highlighting much easier. The pen works fine and the storage space is very handy. Dell's YourPhone feature is very handy and lets me send texts from my computer if my cell phone is buried in my backpack. My only complaint is the short battery life of around 8 hours after being fully charged. I usually end up having to charge it at least once a day. Though it is a great work laptop (and extremely convenient for taking notes during lecture), it may not last a student from the start of classes to the end of late-night studying.

I am a student and hence bought this laptop to do my homework etc and also to do run some memory intensive programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud. It works well and does not lag. The fingerprint scanner, the 4k display and the touch response are also good. Highly recommended. It's for a decent price for the features it has. If you want a Windows laptop for college this is the one.

I loved nearly everything about this laptop. The screen is gorgeous and vibrant. The build quality is great. Unfortunately, under normal activity (e.g., searching the web or streaming) the fan would kick on and make an unusually loud fan noise. It wasn’t terribly loud, but loud enough to be distracting. For that reason alone I had to return it. By way of comparison I also have an X-1 Carbon of similar size and build quality that doesn’t have such an issue. Too bad, because I really loved everything else about the laptop!

Positives - great price for the specs. Bright screen compared to Lenovo Yoga series. Great weight. Fast startup with the SSD.
Negatives - keyboard format with Page Up and Page Down so close to arrows sometimes causes mishit of Page Up or Page Down. Home and End buttons take some getting used to. Need to be careful because they are so close to the Insert and Delete buttons. High-demand graphics do sometimes cause screen to flicker off for about 5 seconds and then turn back on.
