Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Inspiron 2-in-1 laptop's performance, ease of use, and touchscreen functionality. Its lightweight design and good battery life also receive high praise, making it convenient for portability. While some users noted the fan can be noisy at times and there have been reports of hinge issues, the positive feedback on performance and usability outweighs these concerns. The ample RAM and storage are also frequently cited as positive aspects.

First impression? Not bad for $750

I bought this in emergency for my school. This is my first time using a DELL laptop. The main factor of my purchase is its form factor and power draw. AMD Ryzen 7 5825U is a snippy little beast. When plugged in, like most windows laptops, it runs pretty smooth. But, when you unplug it, it starts to slow down, although not by a huge margin. I use MATLAB for school, so it's not recommended to run CPU bound tasks without AC adapter. The display is pretty nice too, nothing much to talk about except for the fact that it's a wider 16:10 and a touchscreen, so you can watch as a tent mode when you don't want to use your keyboard or fold it like a big tablet when you want to read on-the-go or on the bed. The battery is pretty decent too. I tried to use it without AC power. It went from 100% to 90% in over an hour. I have not drained the battery from 100% to 0 yet to test its endurance, but I'm sure I'll do that very soon. All in all, a solid laptop for the price. Wouldn't buy this for 1000 dollars but 750 is a huge bargain.

    Good But Not Great

Overall this laptop is decent but only if only on sale. I definitely would not pay the full price. Pros: * Love the camera shutter for privacy. * Design is very nice. The texture prevents finger prints and the color does not look green at all to me. * USB-C charging means that you do not have to keep up with a proprietary cord. * Specs are solid, at least on paper. * Hinges are very strong & sturdy Cons: * My biggest gripe is the screen. Full disclosure, I am used to OLED screens so going back to IPS was a big of let down. The screen is on the dim side even when turned all the way up and everything seems rather white washed. The Dell Cinema software lets you play with the temperature, contrast & saturation which helps but it generally makes everything start to look artificial. * Fingerprint sensor fails at least 50% of the time which is annoying. Almost returned the laptop due to this but a quick search on the world wide web proved that this is more of a Win11 issue than Dell. So-So: * Battery life seems like it would get around 7 hours of web surfing which is OK but not great for this price range * This does seem a tad heavy * Speed seems a bit slow considering the specs especially on bootup which take about 30 seconds even out of the box. * Price is OK when on sale but on the expensive side when not. Overall I would recommend this laptop for the average user as it should be enough to complete most tasks. The screen is a let down everything else is decent enough.

Great laptop for doing school work! Light weight and portable. A bit small but that’s fine by me. Running games like Minecraft and bg3 work but I had to buy a laptop fan to keep it from overheating.

I purchased this laptop for school and it’s been powerful enough to take on virtualization. The2 and 1 design looks premium. The only cons I can have is the touch pad feedback when pressed is awkward (sound and feel). There is also only one USB port. If you can get over those things I believe this is a overall good purchase.

Not great for if you want a laptop that will last

I bought this laptop in August of 2022 I believe right before I started college and it worked wonderfully. This laptop ran all the software I needed for my Legal Studies courses as well as let me play games and ran very smoothly. The pros outweighed the cons the first as I've gotten a lot of use out of it before the issues started, however, the last year it has been proven clear several times that this laptop is not one you want if you want to get a good use out of it for several years. This last year I've noticed that more and more often it will blue screen even when running minor operations. The fingerprint reader completely stopped working within the first few months of having it and would never recognize my fingerprint. The fans kick on when I have more than two tabs open. Recently it seems the power button has been finicky and it can take up to 10 minutes to "convince" my laptop to turn on. Lastly, the thing that has pushed my indifference of this laptop into hate, the hinges are terrible. I cannot open or close my laptop any more than it is currently or it will peel the screen and utterly destory the laptop. On top of that, I was told it will take an entire week to fix the hinge, and the repair would be $120-$250 plus the near $90 to even send the laptop off. Mind you, I paid $800 for this laptop two years ago and to repair a hinge is going to cost at least a quater of the cost of the entire laptop new, not after two years depreciation, which is ridiculous.

Great laptop with a few quirks

I've had the laptop for a bit under a year now. Works great but there are some downsides every now and then. About four months ago a few letters on the keyboard (B, N, Spacebar) would randomly stop working, which was very frustrating especially when trying to take notes in class. This was persistent for about a month and has thankfully only happened once since then. About two months ago I kept having an issue with the trackpad where it wouldn't register my finger or show the mouse on the screen unless I right clicked, but even then it would disappear after a few seconds. This was a problem for about a week and has happened a few times since then. Thankfully these problems haven't been too consistent since then and when they do pop up they usually only last for a few minutes. Besides the issues, I would definitely recommend the laptop, it works great for daily use and is good for casual gaming.

A solid option, if what you're looking for is a budget friendly 2-in-1 with a big screen and portable firm factor. The keyboard feels excellent, better than the XPS keyboard, in my opinion. The port selection is lovely. The touch screen works well. The track pad is big and spacious.

I bought this laptop as a replacement to my old one and toiled over which one to choose. I’m really satisfied with my purchase. The screen quality is excellent. I didn’t realize how much better screen quality can get! The tablet feature is also really nice and works well. My only drawback is that it sometimes takes 1-2 minutes to connect to the internet when being powered on. Overall, it’s a great laptop for a good price.

I had this product for 2 years. I just did some research and apparently the hinge is a common defect with lenovo. Do NOT buy a 2-n-1 tablet/laptop if you want it to remain in good condition.

I've had this laptop for 6 months. I purchased it after my surface died in spectacular fashion. It is fast, doesn't overheat, and can play games as well as to be expected. However for no reason, my Bluetooth and only available regular-size USB port no longer work. After hours of troubleshooting, reloading drivers, restarting, and online Dell consultations and diagnostics, I found the hardware had just died. The PCI piece or connection has failed. While the Computer is still fast and functional, the inconvenience is not worth the money for loosing the 2 main features this laptop has /had.... Thank god for the Manufacturer's warranty.

I Regretted Buying this DELL Laptop. Do not buy Dell unless you want to deal with this HEADACHE. Last year my laptop started making creaking sounds, which puzzled me. I didn’t see anything visible and just brushed it off. Today the right hing which attached the screen to the keyboard broke and shattered into small pieces. I Googled the issues and found that this is a very common manufacturer defects with all Dell laptops which the company refuses to address.

Be aware. I bought this laptop 8 months ago (still under warranty) and suddenly the hinge got damaged (see pictures). This happen working normally. As is a Dell 2-in-1, you may supposed is well design but no, I found in internet many similar cases. The most surprising thing is Best Buy say they won't fixed because I did not buy a special coverage and need to pay $300 for a laptop of $900. And Dell say they will no cover either, why? No reason, just is not their problem. Bad investment decision buying this laptop.
