Desktop computers are not as popular as they once were, since laptops and tablets let you do your computing anywhere you want. But there is still a case for desktop computers that provide bigger screens for viewing and editing pictures and videos, detailed CAD work, etc. Having a tower and large screen can take up precious room in a home or work office. That is where the Dell All-in-One comes in. Combining the screen with the Tower’s computing components only requires the area on a desk normally occupied by the screen alone. The Inspiron 27 7720 All-in-One is not an entry level desktop either. The 7720 that I have, came with a 27” touch screen, 512GB Solid State Drive, 16GB of RAM and a 13th generation I5 processor and will meet all but the highest levels of computing. The screen The 27” screen is large and has touch capabilities. The Screens size allows you to open two windows next to each other and work on both and still be able to view them clearly on the same screen. Whether working on documents, spreadsheets, editing pictures, or watching videos, the screen displays bright, clean images. The graphics are handled by Intel’s on board UHD graphics, which is about the only entry level component of this Dell desktop. The only area that may potentially cause someone a problem is the screen can be a bit reflective in brightly lit rooms. Connectivity If you are concerned that you will not have enough inputs for all of your peripherals, the Inspiron 27 has that covered as well. On the right side there is one 3.2 USB-C input. On the back of the PC, you have four 3.2 USB-A inputs, one RJ45 Ethernet port, one headset jack and a HDMI in and output. Keep in mind that one of the USB-A slots is used for the dongle for the included wireless keyboard and mouse. With the HDMI inputs, you can connect to your cable or other streaming devices. The HDMI output allows you to have a second screen for more versatility. There is an SD card slot on the back to accommodate your camera memory so you can view and upload your pictures and videos. The included pop-up camera handles Windows Hello and video conferencing with a clean detailed picture. This PC is up to the task when it comes to connectivity. Processor and OS With the 13th generation i5 processor, the Dell 27 can handle most people’s computing needs and basic gaming with quick response. 16GB of RAM makes multi-tasking an ease. For the operating system. Dell includes Windows 11 Home version, which meets most people's needs. Storage The 7720 comes with 512GB of storage on the Solid-State Drive that is very responsive and should take care of most of your storage necessities. Thoughts Though I have been using the 7720 for about a week now, The Dell 27 hasn’t skipped a beat and has been able to handle everything I’ve thrown at it. Whether working on MS office or editing pictures to creating picture videos it hasn’t faltered. If I were a hard-core gamer, then I would have gone for the better processor and video card. The reflections on the screen can be distracting at times. However, for my PC usage the 7720 exceeds my expectations and should be a great addition to any home office.

The Dell Inspiron 27" All-In-One Desktop is a modern and minimalist looking computer in metal white and has a feel and weight of good quality workmanship. This model comes equipped with Microsoft Windows 11 and is powered by a 13th generation Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM with a 512GB solid state drive that help the computer boot up quickly and offer ample storage space and quick data retrieval. Being an all-in-one pc makes the assembly setup quick and easy. The mouse and keyboard are wireless and connect via a usb dongle. There are a total of five (5) usb connections, four (4) behind the computer and one on the right side for easy access. The highlight of the computer is the captivating 27-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 1080p. The colors are vibrant and from the Dell application you can customize the picture through various controls and also has settings to ease eye strain. On top of the screen the camera pops up ingeniously like a periscope; looks very neat and modern. I use this computer for personal and business purposes. I use both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and typically have about 10 or more open tabs at a time. The computer handles it with ease with no hiccups. I connect my headphones through Bluetooth and sometimes I use my high-end wired headphones with the headset jack at the back of the screen. I also like the availability of the SD card reader that comes in handy especially for work. The keyboard is comfortable to type and the plastic material has a good quality build and the keypads have a solid feel when you type. I don’t care much for the mouse; it’s quite big and feels flimsy compared to the keyboard. Watching movies and other media on the beautiful 27-inch screen is such a pleasure to the eyes: vibrant colors and no lags. I just wish it was a touchscreen. The sound from the integrated speakers is good for watching movies or listening to music or podcasts but don’t expect deep bass or extreme highs but the quality is there. With the absence of a dedicated graphics card, video editing and high end games are best avoided. Besides that, this computer performs admirably day in and day out with no glitches. It has quickly become a favorite over my laptop. To conclude, this computer impresses with its sleek modern looks and its vibrant monitor. It has decent specs for everyday tasks, as well as light gaming and creative work. Its minimalist concept makes it easy to place almost anywhere. Dell made a quality product and a good home computer for the whole family.

I'm very impressed. It's much better than I expected. To be honest, I think I was sent the wrong PC. What I got: i7 1355u 16 MB RAM 1TB SSD 550MX graphics Touch screen So, I am reviewing based on those specs THE GOOD ~ Touch screen ~ Small footprint ~ Decent sound ~ Responsive keyboard ~ Fast boot up (under 25s) ~ Nice resolution/monitor ~ Looks good ~ Privacy cam ~ Monitor angled perfectly ~ Good size ~ Built-in Card reader ~ Multiple USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and 1 USB-C THE BAD I haven't found anything I don't like so far THE MEH (Could go either way) ~ All-in-one (but you knew that) OVERALL Everything you need to be up and running within a couple of minutes is in the box, minus an internet connection. It seriously felt like it took longer to unwrap the package than to set it up. It comes with two triangular feet you slide into place. Then unwrap the uncluded batteries, slip them into the bluetooth keyboard and mouse, pop the Bluetooth USB dongle in the back, plug in the power and you're off. The sleak white build and small footprint makes it ideal for those who need to have it in a small apartment or an "always out" situation. Although the i7 1355U is a "mobile" chip, primarily for laptops and such, it's a new release, coming out near the end of Q1 2023 (I believe). Being more geared toward mobile, it doesn't require as much cooling as the more full-sized CPUs. It has a somewhat adjustable screen, that came leaning back about 25 degrees. I found this perfect for removing glare and visual comfort. The colors are bright and crisp. I immediately jumped into looking at high-res pictures and then hopped online to watch some videos. They looked beautiful in full screen mode. I am a gamer, so I went to my big test. I downloaded a copy of World of Tanks and opened it. It actually copied the game very quickly, which surprised me. It booted up and looked great. (I normally play on a 27" 2k 144hz monitor). Getting into the game, I noticed slow times were good, but there was a little tearing with fast movements or a lot of action. Despite that, the game is definitely playable and would suffice for any casual gamer. I expected the keyboard to feel cheap and flimsy, but it doesn't. The keys have a nice resistance to them that make it easy to type. For most computer users, this computer will prove to be all they need. It will definitely get the business books done, give you relaxing time watching cat videos online, or streaming movies. It works for casual gaming as well. WOULD I RECOMMEND? Absolutely.

I'm become partial to All-In-One computers as I like the clean lines on my desktop, less peripherals and cords hanging around, and the space savings that are inherit in the AIO design. Enter the Dell Inspiron 27" AIO device. This sweet and capable device offer a substantial BANG for relatively little bucks in my opinion. Start off with some pretty good components (note that this machine is NOT built for gaming). The newer 13th Gen Core i5 processor scores well on my test program - which should allow you to create/stream/consume content with no restrictions. The system has 8GB RAM and a fast SSD drive to boot, the slowest components being the 2D and 3D graphics capability. As I said this is NOT a gaming machine. After setting the machine up, I noticed several positive items: The TV inspired display design is easy on the eyes even though it's a big 27" screen at close range. Color and clarity are great - crisp and sharp. Wifi connectivity was easy and solid with the Intel Wi-Fi 6E. The 5 in 1 card reader is a nice touch for those of us still using SLR cameras or other devices with SD cards. A unique feature is that this AIO also works as a monitor (capable of becoming a 2nd display for another computer) without powering on the system by connecting to the HDMI in/out port. That's the first time I've seen that! Overall - this is a solid performing device that can help you clean up your space (keyboard parking underneath and cable management behind)!

    A super, compact desktop

I’m a big fan of these Dell all-in-one (AIO) desktops. I’ve had a 24” version for the last two years on my work-at-home desk that I use every day. The AIO is such a great, compact design that takes up minimal space on a desk. I’m planning to use this one on a small desk area built into our kitchen/dining room area. It fits nearly against the wall and the keyboard and mouse tuck neatly underneath when not in use. Speaking of when it’s not in use, this model has a feature that’s new to me: When it’s shutdown, you can plug a laptop or some other device into an HDMI port on the back and use it as an external monitor. I think this will be really handy for visitors (and occasionally, us) using laptops. Now, we can plop down a laptop and quickly make use of the 27” screen. Another useful feature for me is the SD card slot included on the back. I have a GoPro camera and a drone that both use microSD cards to record video and pics. The fastest and easiest way for me to transfer files from them has been to pull the microSD out and put it into a small laptop I have. Now, I can transfer it directly to this AIO and view everything on the nice 27” screen. I have a spare SD to microSD adapter that I just leave in the slot on the back so it’s always handy. The CPU, memory, and storage on this model are a little trimmed down from top-of-the-line (i5, 8GB RAM, 512GB SDD), but for moderate use it should be fine. I’m using it for web browsing, O365 applications, and some video editing and it works great. I’ve also done some Zoom and Teams meetings that worked fine. The camera pops up from the top of the computer, so it’s completely hidden (and video blocked) when not in use. The built-in microphone is on the bottom panel between the speakers. The speakers, by the way, sound great even though they’re small. I’m super happy with the AIO desktop. The cooling fan, when it runs at all, is quiet. It’s got the latest Wi-Fi 6e built in for networking. The touch screen is nice. There really isn’t anything so far that I dislike or an additional feature I wish it had.

Dell - Inspiron 27" AIO Desktop Awesome Tweener!

The Dell - Inspiron 27" All-In-One Desktop - 13th Gen Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD is a definitely a nice All In One (AIO). I have not a desktop in ages. I have been using laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets/iPads forever. After receiving the Dell - Inspiron 27" All-In-One Desktop, I was quite surprised at the compactness of it. It's definitely an upgrade from a standard desktop, being an AIO. It comes complete with a wireless/bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Nothing extra is needed, however it did not come with a network cable, BUT I actually quite fine with that. Because it has a built in wifi card! So in essence, it's a transition between desktop and laptop. A great tweener option. The only thing, I would probably change out is the keyboard. Buttons are a little stiff, although it is a full size keyboard. It is a little compact keyboard. Setup up out of the box is really simple, you could have it up and running in 15 minutes. And no tools needed to assemble. The monitor tilts up and down, but does not tilt side to side. It's a great addition to my home computing and even for my daughter. Being wifi enabled, means I can basically set it up anywhere not worry about additional network cable. It's a great tweener from the desktop and laptop.

    A Great Work/Home PC

The Dell Inspiron 27" All-In-One Desktop is a good PC. If I had to describe it in a few words they would be Efficient, Minimalist, and Sleek. The PC is an all-in-one, if you aren't big into computers, it just means you won't have an external desktop/tower. All your ports, computing components, and speakers are built into the monitor. Under the hood it has 512gb SSD storage, 8gb RAM memory, 13th Gen i5 processor, and the Intel UHD GPU. The internal storage, RAM memory, and processor are great for most work and personal computing purposes, but the GPU is on the lower end, it will work for MS Office and related programs, but I wouldn't use it for video rendering heavy jobs or intense gaming. The monitor is a 27" FHD (1920x1080) 60hz display. Its a good size and looks great, the picture is bright, colorful, and crisp. The built-in speakers are also great, the sound is deep and resonating, which I wasn't expecting with the size of them. Its also got a 1080p front facing camera which is ideal for video meetings. My only complaint with the display is that the refresh rate is 60hz, making the display 120hz wouldve been ideal for this desktop. The accesories are great. Included is a wireless keyboard and bluetooth mouse. The keyboard is a full size membrane design and the mouse has multiple DPI settings (1000, 1600, 2400, 4000). Its all adjustable with the Dell Peripheral Manager. My biggest complaint with the accesories is that they use batteries. The keyboard uses 2 x AAA batteries and the mouse uses 1 x AA battery, Dell was nice enough to include a set in the box and the batteries are estimated to last a year with normal use, but they should've just made the accessories rechargable instead. One personal complaint I have is that keyboard isn’t backlit, I'm assuming making it backlit would drain the battery faster but its a nice feature to have The desktop looks great. The Powder White color scheme looks really nice with its minimalist design, its modern and sleek, so less space is taken up on uour desk. Its overall professional, but still stylish. The Dell Inspiron All-In-One is a great choice for anyone looking for a new PC to tackle their school, work, or personal tasks. It has a few little faults that I found annoying, but they are ultimately personal preferences that won't affect the average user.
