Business
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the product is excellent, my two stars are because when you buy in Puerto Rico, Dell's one-year international warranty is not honored and that is bad since the product is bought in an open box, of course, a good price, but without software or hardware cover and best bye practically pushes you to spend more on the product. When I bought the laptop I mentioned it to the manager and he didn't even know about the warranty after talking to Dell via phone I couldn't achieve anything ... I had to invest more to fix it ☹️

Dell Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer was supposed to be a certified one. However, when I started it up, it required a reboot to install updates. This process got hung up, sat for over 6 hours and would not budge. finally had to restart and after several days it updated. Then and still to this day, the screen goes light then dark when plugged in to charger. Have not figured out how to stop this annoying habit. All in all I am very very displeased with the purchase.

Uncomfortable in my lap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Uncomfortable for use on my lap, because the sharp corners of the lid stick down from below the base, and dig into my thighs. Difficult to see the keys when lighting conditions are challenging, because the backlit keys disappear when backlighting is on, and there is a still a little ambient light. Battery life seems poor. It has blue screened a few times, which may be due to my choice of photo processing software. Basically, the most unhappy I have been with a new laptop ever.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for your feedback and review. We're happy to hear that you're pleased with the laptop overall. We are sorry you're having issues with your battery runtime and the thermals. Below are steps that can help with overheating.
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.
7. This article contains further details that can help with your overheating: http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG.

It gets warm quickly and high.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It gets hot easily if you use it on your legs and I left charging laptop on flat surface believe me hot was super high that I could not hold it with my hands even for 3 seconds in down side of the computer. I have an Acer laptop with same SSD HD tech. and by the contrary is super cool no matter the way I use it, so I give 2 because I think it will make computer life shorten, that's a shame because laptop looks great.
