    Terrible battery life

    This battery is awful. I looked online and this battery is supposed to last 12/13 hours off the charger, it literally last under 2. I'll be returning this computer next weekend and would have by now if I'd had more time.

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
      Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

    Still on Hold!

    I ordered a laptop but the cable was missing. I called in but they could not help with tracking down another charging cable. I was referred to the local store where I was on hold for 28 mins. I hung up and than called back but NO luck. Another 20 mins and I am STILL ON HOLD. If you have phones, answer them. Not a good experience.

    I purchased the Dell 24 series monitor when I bought the Dell laptop computer 2 weeks ago and the audio went out on the monitor. Have tried everything I can think of to work but no luck. Will stop and buy a new HDMI connector cable this weekend and see if that solves the problem. Extremely disappointed with my experience!

    It was very complicated to set up the wireless connection. The manual is less than helpful, I still don’t know how to make a copy or do a scan. I bought this because it was a name brand, would never ever purchase this product again. I would have returned it but I threw the box away before I tried to set it up.

    Needed a hard drive replacement on the first day. Wish I went with a different machine - I don't know much about computers to be honest, but I should have done more research. This has an i5 processor, and I should have known to look for something with an i7.

    Horrible Dell experience.

    The speakers provide nothing but static less than 1 month out of the box. No audio, no music, no voice, just static. Now I need to fight to have them make this right. What a pain. Save yourself the trouble. Dell isn't worth it. Forget damnation, apparently if things go south you go straight to Dell.

    Think twice before you spend your hard earned money when you buy open box electronics I bought this lop top after 3 weeks it suddenly stopped working I think that it has an LCD problem Now I’m going to wait for 5 or 6 weeks until I get it back hopefully it works not good at all

    Bought this as a mother's day present. Sadly, this computer crashed on her after only 3 weeks of using it. She loved it up until then, but we're not sure if it was a fluke or a problem they have regularly. We were refunded and felt safer purchasing a different brand

    They have keep setting my delivered Lap top over and over each day. I bought multiple items 3 weeks ago. They have sent me almost all except a lap top. They sent me it would be delivered today. It's almost midnight and nothing has been delivered or Noone has let me know.

    I cannot see the keys on silver keyboard. In the store, the keyboard looked fine, however, at home (even in bright light) the keyboard keys are not light enough for me to see the letters/numbers. Very dissatisfied. I wish I could return it.

    I ordered an open box ( geek squad excellent certified) online two weeks ago. The product was defective when I received it. The problem was with the speaker. Every time when I played something, there was a cracking sound in between and was not clear.

    Failed and was junked

    This failed. Blue screen of doom. Best Buy attempted to fix it from a soft ware perspective. Still blue screened. Then they replaced hard ware. Still blue screened. Best Buy finally "junked" it and I bought a Asus.

    I have had this laptop for a month and a half. I went to use it yesterday and it is dead. I cannot get it to charge at all, yet the power cord lights up. I'm going to our local Best Buy with it today. This should not have happened.

      Here are the recommended steps for troubleshooting this issue:
      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.
