Even if I build this PC myself, I could not find the parts for less than this Dell system. This level of performance is insane. Unit is well build and better than I expected. THANK YOU DELL AND AMD !

I was looking to upgrade my 7 year old computer, and I still wanted good graphics and speed for video editing and light gaming. I did have to take the plunge and also move from Win 7 to 10. Fortunately, this computer made it all relatively painless. The computer reboot time is so fast compared to my old computer! My only nit is that I had to seek out how to 'wake' it up with mouse or keyboard (it stopped doing this shortly after getting) - I think it was some Dell thing or my wireless keyboard thing. Also, the video card only has 1 HDMI port - so I had to buy an adapter to run 2 monitors (that don't have display ports on them). A simple fix for about $20. Oh - and it lights up blue! So pretty!! :)

This is a slight revision to my first review of this PC. Yes I purchased 2 of them for anyone wondering.
Pros:
1) Excellent motherboard: The motherboard allows for (2) M.2 SSD Drives, (2) Full PCIe ports (1) PCIe Mini
2) Good case size: The size of the case made working on it much easier, the case allows for (2) internal hard drives, (1) SSD drive, (1) front fan, (1) additional optical drive (3) PCIe cards as stated above.
3) Excellent wire management system: The case has clips on the inside to keep wire management nice and simple.
4) Average CPU Heatsink: my opinion is that most people probably won’t need to upgrade this but for those of you that run multiple VM’s or do heavy gaming, things that will require lots of processing power I would advise getting an upgraded heatsink.
Cons:
1) Power Supply: The power supply I received was 460W I had to upgrade to a 600W.
2) Case Issue 1: The case appears to be a custom case. I had a very difficult time finding a power supply that would fit in this case. (For those wondering for me the Thermaltake Smart 600W 80+ White Continuous was able to fit the case.)
3) Case Issue 2: Air flow is problematic with this machine, like so many others have stated, the machine gets hot. For me this issue was fixed by adding a fan to the front of the case. There are 4 slots to add rubber screws to the case. To save you all time and headache the fan size I used was (92mm – 4 or 3 pin will work). The screws I used were the (Noctua NA-SAV4) for me no other screws would fit the case, I had to cut the screws to size because they ran a little long.
4) Motherboard Power issues while using the PCIe Mini port: The motherboard I got did not like power being supplied by Molex but it had no issue once I changed to SATA, I do not have a reason why this was so for me.
5) PCIe slots only run at 8x not at the full 16, but I don’t believe this makes a big difference.
6) RAM: The motherboard only has 2 RAM slots, the RAM does not come with adequate heatsink, and the computer came with 1-16GB RAM 2400 single channel chip. I had purchased a heatsink case for the RAM.
7) Like so many other people have noted the graphics card is basically just a repurposed RX480 with upgraded BIOS to be turned into a RX580.
All in all my opinion is that this machine is average at best and should not be purchased unless you want to spend at least a hundred dollars (as of today’s date 8-24-18) in extra in parts to make it run the way it should.
Finally everything stated above is my opinion based on my experience with my purchase. This information may not hold true for everyone, I am simply trying to help others out.

First, let me say that I'm not really a gamer. While I do play some online games, nothing at all demanding. I am, however, a demanding user. I'm at IT instructor, on the computer constantly, lots of open apps and files, and I expect my computer to do everything I ask it to. I had become frustrated with a low end Lenovo desktop, and replaced it with this. This computer is very quick...boots fast, loads applications quickly. I do need to remember to reboot from time to time, but otherwise it works VERY well. The blue light through the slots in the case look sharp too. It wasn't cheap (though not expensive either by gaming standards), but I've had no complaints at all.

So I've built thousands of computers, gaming and work. I debated building a custom Ryzen 7 system, but this one comes with all the specs I would have wanted in a custom for a nice price. Additionally, it comes with 2 M2 slots, one of which is a NVME. This thing plays everything and is quiet compared to a lot of other high end computers that I've built in the past. Haven't had any problems with it. Very nice rig with plenty of options to upgrade and expand. Well done Dell!

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. Dell and AMD in perfect harmony in one solid performing machine. I always build my own PCs. This is my first ever pre-built PC purchase and I took my time trying to decide whether or not to build. After finally deciding to buy this beast I can say that I'm very happy with it. Especially considering that I couldn't build an equally capable machine for at least a few hundred dollars more. Nice job Dell!

I purchased this computer to run multiple cad drawing programs. Gaming PC is a perfect fit due to it's speed. Only downfall is you have to purchase some programs to be used in an office setting.

I perform architecture BIM work with a fair amount of animation production. This box has nice balance with a large standard hard drive and a good front end SSD for the grunt work of operating system and animation software. I’d recommend this box for anyone doing art or design production.

Purchased this Dell computer around Christmas time. Worked great for first week or so and now for the last week or so sometimes when I put it to sleep and try to wake it the monitor will not come back on. I even switched my old monitor and it still does this. Only way to get it working again is to unplug it and wait 30 seconds.
I have purchased HP computers for the last 15 years or more and never had this problem before till I switched to Dell.
I'll give it a few more months then I'm probably going back to HP or Cyber Power.
I would conditionally refer this computer to a friend since when it's working it is a great machine: It's fast, has sufficient memory, and starts up very fast. The problem I have seems to happen once or twice a week at most. Hoping a future update will fix the problem.

This Dell beast is something special. For the price we get a lot of good components and playing Overwatch on this is graceful. The CPU RAM Graphics Card l, SsD on OS and 1 TB for game storage and everything like Bluetooth, WiFi’s. It lights up blue at night and dark. Reasonably quite and just super purchase. I have been eyeing this one Ruben 7 for sometime and finally decide to purchase primary for gaming

I haven't any up to date games, but this rig has no trouble with Battlefield 3 and Crysis 3, at max video settings. The case is beautiful with lots of ventilation and the blue internal lighting is unobtrusive and can be switched off. Inside the case, it is uncluttered and completely quiet. The specs speak for themselves, Ryzen 7, RX 580,with ssd and hdd drives!

I use this as my office desktop. I lie to myself that I wanted the ryzen 7 1800x over the eighth generation I seven, but it really because I was impatient. I've been pleasantly surprised.
The only complaint I have is that it does not come with quality, sufficient RAM. If you want to multitask it lightning speed, you need to get another 16 GB spec

I was going to go for the 1700 cpu, but this 1800x is definitely worth the extra 150-200. it has the SSD for faster loading times and I have been using the bigger Hard Drive it came with for documents, vidoes, music, storage. It plays new games at high setting with no issues. Would definitely recommend for gamers.
