Exactly what I was looking for after my old win10 suddenly did the black screen of death. I do not like change especially in my PC's but I've always purchased Dell's when needed or been afraid of Cert/Refurb/Open box PC's and this win11 is great. I'm an older amatuer techie, the old that helps all my friends when something goes wrong on their machines lol and this unit was super easy to set up had a basic working machine internet ready machine in an hour. Its fast enough for me, easy to do downloads and change to all my preferences. I'm not a fan of win11 layout so with a simply conversion .exe I'm now looking at a win10 layout without a single hiccup from the system and with 1TB HHD I will never worry about having enough storage space lol. Don't be afraid to purchase its a nice machine with little bloatware.

Why I bought it

I bought this computer to replace the very same one that had gone to computer heaven. Both were open box and reasonably priced (even full priced is bargain. It is easy to set up and use. Since the new one came with windows 11 (boo-hiss), I did need some geek help. Fortunately, we have total care (highly recommended) everything came out fine. There was a problem with the monitor port, but with cats who think they are part of the geek squad, that wasn't surprising.

Good basic desktop . Adequate for email, social media etc and basic MS office functions ( needs MS software)
Processor is adequate for these applications but I think would be underpowered for video editing etc. if you are planning to do this then look for an I7 processor and more memory
Wifi is not great but hardwired Ethernet works fine
Overall v happy with the price and performance ( a key board and mouse was included)

The Dell computer is good and fast. I had the Geek Squad come out and set it up in my home office. Several problems were encountered with pre-loaded programs from the factory. I am glad I did not try to set it up myself. Even the hard drive from my previous computer was taken out and the information transferred to my new computer, I still lost a lot of data I really needed. I kept the old hard drive in case it could someday be retrieved. It still has problems but I am working them out on my own, little by little. It is blazing fast when it is working correctly. Part of the problems may be with Microsoft.

This is the most powerful computer I've had ever. It blows away all the other machines in the same price bracket . I have had a fair number of desktops in my life and Dell has always been a top performing company. I look forward to years of gaming, internet surfing and even video editing. I highly recommend looking into this model for your next desktop computer.

I have built hundreds of computers since 1995. Needed something quickly as a biz PC and found this little gem on clearance. And to dells credit, they only used one ram slot at 9 GB instead of cheapening out and using 2 fours. Now I added 32 GB of ram and added an SSD drive and it’s a champ. Very happy with it.

Overall, a good value. No frills, no problem. Good sized; not totally compact but takes up less space on the desk which is nice. However, Aggressive power saving, i don’t know if Dell or Windows fault but seriously: change power settings to High Performance. All that said, I should have stretched my budget another $160 and gotten an All-in-One. Maybe less storage on the AIO, but a better performing processor with ssd, and even more space savings on the desk would make the extra money worth it in the next purchase.

I was in need of an in stock computer and this one was available and on sale. It was a gift for someone and it does everything that they need for it to do and then some. Easy set up/install. More than enough memory and speed. I can't say much about ease of use because it is windows 11 and that is new to me.

Easy setup. Long time Dell customer. This replaced a 10 year old inspiron desktop that was running Windows 7. You get your monies worth with Dell. Only suggestion I have is to add more memory. There is never enough memory.

Perfect upgrade for my grandparents!

This PC was an excellent upgrade for my Grandparents who were desperately in need of a new computer from this decade and not 20 years ago! The big stipulations they shared with me is that they wanted to save money and not overpay for features and upgrades they don’t need. They also wanted to ensure that it still had a CD-ROM/DVD-ROM tray built in. My grandpa loves Hoyle Card Games, and he wanted to be able to load his disk in without having to plug in an external disk tray as I had explained to him.
This computer feels lightning fast to them, but as a millennial who is a daily user of a 2015 MacBook Pro and a custom-built 2020 Windows desktop PC, the Dell Inspiron does feel markedly slower with the operating system (OS) being loaded onto a spinning disk hard drive as opposed to the more modern standard of having the OS being installed on a solid state drive (SSD). This does result in slower load times and boot times of the system, but it is perfect for my grandparents needs as they are upgrading from an ancient Windows XP PC and anything feels faster compared to that! There is a model in this same Dell Inspiron lineup that comes with the OS installed on an SSD, so that is available for the consumer who wants snappier operation. This PC does come with an M2 slot on the motherboard though, so if they ever want more speed, I can offer my tech savvy services to them and transfer their OS onto an M2 SSD for snappier speeds.
This is a finely built, light, and compact desktop tower. It is remarkable how much space this saves on their desk. This came with an actually quite nice keyboard and mouse, so all we had to do was hook up a monitor to this PC when it came. It has a VGA port built in, so we were able to hook up their older monitor with the VGA cable. The monitor upgrade will be one of the next things on their list. We were also able to get their internet hooked up seamlessly with an ethernet cable from their router, but this PC is WiFi capable!
Windows 11 is a truly beautiful OS. My grandpa felt it was a little overwhelming and “full” at first, but he quickly took to how easily he could organize his files and also to how nice of a browser Microsoft Edge is. I wanted to convince him to use Google Chrome, but that will be a fight for another day, haha.
Altogether, this PC has proved to be an incredible value. Do not expect top tier speed and responsiveness out of this configuration, but it has so much to offer in the way of being a solid upgrade from older systems without breaking the bank. Thanks for reading and hope this helps guide your purchase decision!

Great system for the price point, however, you really should add a solid state drive. You can buy these for $50 if you have the knowledge. If you are not able to do this, I would not recommend the system, as it easily slows to a crawl with the HDD.
Personally, I think its criminal to include HDD in any new PC, but this was a great price on sale.

Great computer. Although, I was disappointed to find it was used, not new and without the included mouse and keyboard. I updated the ram to 16gb and ssd to 128gb and for an i3 it is now pretty darn fast. So it's all good.
