      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

    I buy a new computer every 4-5 years and it was time to update my desktop. I worked with my best buy sales associate to pick this computer. I also purchased a fantastic 4K video monitor, and a MyCloud Home. Unfortunately, this computer, out of box, can only connect to the 2ghz wifi network, which limits download speed to a little over 20 mbs. So, on best buy recommendation I purchased a 5ghz USB adapter. I updated the drivers and now can connect to the 5g wifi, but the speed is limited to a little better than 40 mbs, for comparison my phone reaches speeds of over 220 mbs. Now I'm being told I need to upgrade my wireless card at an additional expense. Spent about an hour in best buy picking out this computer. It was a bad recommendation and in my opinion it's a bad computer. To have to spend an additional $100+ on a new computer out of the box, to work with the current technology available is bad. I'm going over to best buy this week to see if they will take it back and let me get another one. Fortunately, I bought a MYCloud and backup is a breeze.

    Great Performance

    Bought this a couple of days ago and everything works super fast. I am very impressed with the load up time and the speed of loading up applications. While this computer is likely overkill for the web browsing that will be the bulk of its load, this computer will be able to handle most of my gaming needs as well, on a casual level. Not for the high end user, but for a home office and casual gaming computer, this is a sweet machine.

    I have bought many Dells over the years. They keep building them more and more cheaply and shoddy. I really hate that. I bought this one hoping it would hold up. No such luck . After only two days the cheap lightweight CD drive stopped working. I was told I could send the unit back or Best Buy would swap it out. I have already spent 2 days loading files and software ( which has no value to Best Buy ) plus I also had Best Buy install a second SSD drive, Then I was told I could pay to replace the CD drive if I wanted to...and pay for it. I usually buy direct from Dell....first time I have bought locally . Not a good experience.

    Bad video

    Bought New on line from Best Buy for much lower price in August of 2018. Worked well up until April 28, 2018. Then i started to get black screens of increasing frequency. when I was able to get it up for a hot second my event monitor showed the on board video was failing. added a Nvidia Geoforce Video Card to available slot and everything is now running great. On board video should have lasted much longer than 8 months. Luck of the draw. Did not want to go through all of the drawn out process of software and windows checking to put this through Warranty service so went to main source first. For price i paid no biggie but for what this model sells for now i would either build your own or try another brand.

    Proprietary junk in Dell's slump

    Had to pick this one up for my brother when his (also excessively proprietary) Lenovo abruptly died. Dell seems to want a slide back into the days of using non-standard, proprietary parts that can't be replaced, and can't be upgraded. Flimsy case, even flimsier drives in it. Not much more than a year old, and the DVD drive has already quit on this hunk of junk. Of course, Dell designs these to fail just long enough past the warranty expiration that you are forced to buy their proprietary parts to fix something that USED to be a standard component. It's *almost* as locked-in as an Apple product. Just lifting the thing it feels cheap and substandard, and from basic usage it has proven to be so. Dell goes through cycles of making decent products, then they soon sink back into substandard trash. These days they've reached the bottom, not just from this machine, but also with the in-laws' AiO system which as a brand new machine ran just as poorly as the 4-yr old machine it was replacing.

    Garbage!

    I am DONE w Dell products. They always fail...laptops, towers, monitors. I bought this hoping the tower would be more stable. But dell never fails, motherboard is bad after only 2 years.
