Much better than the same model I had at my college. This refurbished laptop is faster, produces less heat, is quieter, powers up and down very fast and has four times the ram as my previous, same model and identical processor Dell laptop! I highly recommend this product with a third generation I 5 processor.

First things first, I bought this laptop for about $400 and that's about what I feel it's worth. It runs most programs very fast. You even can play a lot of pretty good games on it (like Team Fortress 2) with little or no lag. The laptop is very large and heavy. My major problem is it has no bluetooth. But it does have a DVD/CD drive that works really well. And I figure if no bluetooth is my only "major" problem then it was well worth the money.

I love this laptop, sure its a little heavy but it is fast with the SSD drive and extra memory, the display is clear, crisp, and bright, and it came with 64-bit Windows 7. Hard to imagine it busting, only beef was the supplied battery was weak (less than an hour) and the vendor gave a lame excuse for that.

I had been hesitant to purchase a refurbished laptop. I decided to bite the bullet and try this laptop since the other few reviews seemed pretty promising. Delivery supposedly would take about 2 weeks but I got it in a few days. Just in time for class! Laptop was in almost perfect cosmetic condition, maybe one or two nicks/scratches on the outside. Very minimal. Runs great, much better than previous laptop. Very happy with this purchase. Where else can you get 16GB memory and SSD for $400 AND be certain of reliability? And windows 7 which I greatly prefer! Awesome!

I had some problems with Windows 7 OS. It wasn't loaded correctly. Also try to upgrade Explorer to Ver 9 and 10 and didn't allow me to do it. It keeps asking that was missing something. I took it back to Best Buy without a problem. That made my day.

Computer works fine, I have always owned Dells and this one is replacing my 3rd one. No problems with startup/loading programs, I was concerned about it being refurbished, but so far so good. The monitor is a bit small (14) but I knew that going in.

I love this laptop. It is very powerful. I have not yet used it to its full extent but it has done everything I have asked of it with absolutely no problem. I would definitely recommend it and would purchase it, again. It is so wonderful to be able to find a laptop without Windows 10!

I had placed 3 orders over a period of two months. The laptop was advertised to have what I wanted, but when examined it did not have the advertised components. This laptop was of another price and different guts, but the advertised laptop was received as advertised.

I was skeptical to purchase a refurbished laptop, but did not want to pay $1,000 plus for a new one. After much research, I believed the 16 GB Dell Latitude E6430 was a great deal at $400. The laptop looked new right out of the box and was well packed. The 16 GB of RAM and the solid state hard drive are both great. The machine boots up in seconds and there is no noise from the HD. The instructions provided by Joy Systems - an authorized Microsoft refurbisher - were spot on. The set-up was easy and straight forward. The one year warranty from Joy Systems/Best Buy gives me peace of mind. I have had the computer for a week and the typical functions have been top notch (running on battery power; surfing the internet; emails; running PowerPoints with many imbedded videos; using Word; and projecting the video to a television). The negatives - the audio jack is loose (plug-ins do not fit snuggly) and the screen resolution is not as sharp as new laptops (it is fine - very readable - but not bright, vivid, sharp colors/text). I would not hesitate to purchase another refurbished laptop from Best Buy/Joy Systems - it seems to be a great value to me with little risk since the cash outlay is not that much and the one year warranty will cover the major problems.

I purchased 2 of these for my family, and I must say, for the price and the reliability it's pretty tough to beat. 16GB and SSD drive are great! One minor concern is the life of the refurbished batteries. One is at 89% strength, the other at 49% strength. This does meet typical industry standards, but I know I will have to get a battery down the road. Cases and screens are clean and neat, setup was very simple. Joy Systems does the work, and they stand behind their product. Thanks, I recommend.

While best buy states that the computers they sell refurbished are "like new" if you actually go in to the store they'll tell you it's really just "as is" from whatever manufacturer the product came from. My laptop came with a scratch on the display. Not even the glass, the display itself. Now if that had been on the plastic or something purely cosmetic I wouldn't have cared, but on the screen it impacts how I can use the computer. That computer never should have gone out to begin with. Because best buy is just the seller for as is items all they can do is a full return and then you get to wait for it to come back in stock so you can take another shot and hope the new one you get doesn't have problems. Better hope you find any of those problems before the return period is up too, they take no responsibility for sending out faulty items so getting your money back is only an option in the same way as someone who just changed their mind.

Fast, solid built machine. You can tell it was used, but it looks fine adn everything feels solid. I installed Linux Mint as soon as I got it, and it is the fastest I've ever used. Great specs for only $400.
