In a world were video conferencing is more prevalent then ever, it is important to have a high quality product for speakers/sound output. I reviewed this product with my Lenovo X1 Carbon which is my workhorse laptop for work. While my laptop is great, its speakers are not incredible. This is were the Dell Mobile speakerphone comes to play. Packaging/Unboxing: Very premium packaging and the product includes a travel case. DELL MH3021P: Its USB 3.1 Type C cable is wrapped around the under body of the speaker, making it ideal for travel. The cable also provides plenty of length to have appropriate distance for the speaker itself. The speakers on this product are incredible and super clear. When doing zoom/team calls I hear the speaker perfectly. The speaker itself allows me to mute myself and unmute myself whenever I want to speak. Its really brilliant. I now find myself using the dell speakerphone as an actual speaker for video/music. When listening to Youtube on the Lenovo, the computer sounds like a tin effect. When using the dell speaker it is crystal clear. This product is a must. I plan on purchasing a few of them for members of our company to use.

    nifty telework device

Working from home full time since November basically has relegated me to working and communicating through my laptop and plugging in a set of Apple wired earbuds for my Zoom conferenced filled day. Seeking a better solution, I got the Dell Mobile Adapter Speakerphone, which provides me some of the functionality of being in a meeting room in the office with my team. The device connects to your laptop via a Thunderbolt connector, has a single HDMI out port, a USB-C out port and two standard USB-A ports acting as a hub. As for the speakerphone functionality, it has indicator lights including mute and a few other visual indicators, including buttons to start and end calls. It integrates well with Skype, Teams, Zoom and WebEx. Voices sound rich over the speaker and the microphone is sensitive enough to pick up other people in a room participating in a call (you remember, those days when people could congregate and collaborate in a conference room). In any case this is a nifty device, is well built and works seamlessly. If only I could figure out how to connect two additional HDMI driven monitors like with my current thunderbolt dock. Pros: • Perfect for telework. • Integrates well with teleconferencing platforms. • Good sound quality, with echo reduction • Huge improvement over the built it mic and speaker in my laptop. Cons: • could use another HDMI port.

    Dell Mobile Adapter Speakerphone

So I received my Dell Mobile Adapter Speakerphone and man it couldn't have come at a better time. Inside the box is the adapter speakerphone and quick-start guide. Dell also included a soft portable pouch, that allows you to easily pack up the speaker when not in use or to store in in a backpack/laptop bag. The Dell Mobile Adapter Speakerphone comes with a built-in USB-C cord that is wrapped nicely underneath its base. Along the edges of the speakerphone are several ports to connect other devices. These ports include: 2 USB-A ports, an HDMI port, as well as a USB-C port. On top of the speakerphone you will find the touch controls for the speakerphone answer/end call buttons, as well as +/- volume buttons, and a mute button. Over the last week and a half, I've used this amazing little speakerphone both at home and work. At home, I've been had video calls with family members in Florida that I've not been able to visit due to COVID, while at work I've used it for residents in my group home to have video calls with their family members, who are unable to visit due to our agency visitation restrictions. Call quality has been amazing and with having the controls on top, you can quickly mute or increase/decrease the volume as needed if/when necessary. Amazing product wrapped nicely with additional ports that either connect other devices or use them as charging ports.

    A must-have for home office!

The Dell Mobile Speakerphone is an absolutely MUST-HAVE for anyone who spends a lot of time on the phone and doesn't necessarily want to wear a headset all day. I spend a great deal of my day on the phone and have used many speakerphones over the years. The Dell Mobile Speakerphone definitely stands out as one of the best. Key Pros: - Excellent call clarity - Wrapped USB-C cable for easy storage (and no loss!) - Travel pouch - Great battery life (can go two or three days!) - Multi-port USB connections: USB-A x2 and even an HDMI Port - Seamlessly connects to computer - very easy set up - Works beautifully with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx I use this device primarily as a speakerphone rather than all the additional capability it has with the additional ports and have to recommend this device for it's outstanding call clarity as I mentioned above. A lot of speakerphones have that dreaded 'talk-over' effect when multiple people are talking but this Dell device seems to be fully duplexing and just like talking on a traditional phone. An enthusiastic thumbs up from me!

This thing is straight up awesome. Basically it's for all those times you're traveling and you try to do the thing where someone puts their phone on speaker and everyone else crowds around it but no one can hear well. This little speaker puck plugs straight into your laptop (usb-c) and then auto-detects and integrates with things such as Teams. I literally plugged it in and started a teams call, it put up a title bar on my Teams saying using the Dell adapter and away we went. Call quality was stellar in comparison to the standard cell speakerphone, the audience was able to hear me well and there wasn't any carryover that they could hear. When connected it shows a white light and then a green light when it's in use for a call. Mute button changes that color so you know when you're muted. Oh and it comes in a great little zippered case. The only negative I'll mention is the instructions are sparse to say the least. Reading it you start to think maybe it needs an outside usb-c power connection, but it works just fine via my laptop usb-c. Since it can serve as an HDMI expansion and usb hub, I'm guessing it's if you start using all those aspects.

    Great sound, clear calls

I got this primarily for use as a USB hub. My laptop only has two USB-C ports, and I needed at least a couple USB-A ports for hooking up peripherals (portable scanner, computer mouse, etc. . . .). The speakerphone aspect was more of a "happy bonus" for me. I figured that my built-in mic and speakers were perfectly adequate for conference calls. I quickly changed my opinion after hearing the speaker in action. This thing has fantastic sound. The people on the other end of my call even commented on how clear and sharp my audio was. The "buttons" take a little bit of getting used to. They aren't buttons so much as raised, capacitive icons. They don't "click" like you'd expect, and accidental presses happen very easily. The speaker comes with a little carrying bag to keep it clean. I think this was a very nice touch. The cable length is adequate for most use cases. I wouldn't want it to be any shorter, but it wouldn't hurt if it were maybe six inches longer to better sit in the middle of a conference room table. There is a recessed area for storing the cable on the bottom of the speaker. It only has two USB-A ports. Again, this is adequate for most use cases. Given the lack of ports on my laptop, I wouldn't have minded four (for scanner, mouse, wireless keyboard, and external hard drive). 2 is perfectly adequate for most use cases though. It has a full-size HDMI port for hooking up an external display (again, great if you're using your laptop as a desktop replacement while traveling). This device is great if you find yourself frequently traveling for work. It's both compact and loaded with features.

like title says. I got this device because I have an asus 13" laptop that has 1 usb-a port. and I also have a surface pro which has no usb-a ports and it does not have a hdmi port either. this allows me to plug my surface pro into a monitor, as well as gives me a couple usb-a ports to plug in a mouse or thumb drive etc. as for my laptop, it allowed me to be able to use a keyboard, mouse, headset and game. the hdmi port allowed me to connect to a third monitor. the laptop already has a hdmi port. it also has the usb-c port on it as well. you dont gain a usb-c port as it only has one but at least you dont lose the port that you plug this into. the speaker is a decent volume. mainly great for calls. it comes with a case to put it in which is a nice touch. why 4 stars. I would have liked to have seen maybe a sd card reader built in, and maybe even an ethernet port. overall though I do recommend this if you are like me, and you have a laptop or tablet that uses usb-c and lack usb-a ports and an hdmi port. or want a slight better sounding speaker. if you do some calls this is also great for that. has 2 built in mics that you can mute which turns red letting you know its muted.

The Dell Mobile Adapter Speaker is great. I've seen quite a few companies attempts to get the USB hub and speaker combination right. Dell has nailed it. I've used the Mobile Adapter Speaker for about 2 weeks. I don't have anything bad to say. All the ports work great. I used it on several different devices and all of them functioned well.

This product has been extremely helpful when I've been at home and at the office. I get very wrapped up in what I'm doing around the house and at my desk so it is nice to have a hands free option for my calls. The volume is adjustable and and works really well. I like that it is very small and has a proper case to carry it in. It was very easy to set up. All I had to do was plug it into my phone where my charger would typically go. I was also able to plug it into my computer. It can also be used as just a speaker. I also used it for a few conference calls at work and no one complained about volume or not being able to hear from the other end. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a useful hands free conference call option.

I was excited to try this hub/speaker combo. The usb hub expands the ports of your computer. It’s connector is usb-c so will only work with newer laptops with this input. It has regular USB ports, hdmi, and sd slot. The unit is very sleek looking. I was a little disappointed in the speaker. It was ‘crackly’ and did produce good quality sound. People on the other line said it was difficult to hear me as it sounded as if I was in a tunnel. I found the usefulness and quality of this product to be average. It does not produce the sound of an hd speaker such as a HomePod or even Echo Dot.
