I spent a lot of time installing windows updates and it kept crashing. It was running smooth for a while after I finally installed all updates. Then, after a week, it started crashing again. Now it can't find the hard drive.

      Lisa7667,

We're sorry to hear about your Windows 10 activation issues. If you are receiving a Windows 10 Home Activation Error you can follow these steps:

      1. Verify that the system has an active internet connection (open a web browser and navigate to Microsoft.com)
NOTE: Follow standard network troubleshooting if the system cannot connect to the internet.
      2. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation , and then select Troubleshoot.
      3. The system should now activate and the error message should disappear automatically.
