Very affordable but annoying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The monitor is very affordable but there are a couple of annoyances. The first is that it only came with an antiquated VGA cable. Most graphics cards do not support VGA anymore. Luckily the monitor does have a DVI-D connection so I purchased a DVI-D cable to be able to connect the monitor to my graphics card. And then the gloss on it made it really annoying to work with in a bright room or even just a room with windows nearby. But that was just a minor issue that I guessed it would have. The bigger problem is that the monitor adjusts the brightness depending on what you have on your monitor. If you're watching a movie and the movie has a dark scene, the brightness gets very low and when they are in a bright scene the brightness goes up all the way. It's more visible when you're doing work on the computer and as you move around different programs the brightness goes up and down making your eyes feel like they're bleeding. I found this monitor at a discount at a BestBuy store, it's a good buy if those things wouldn't annoy you. But it's not worth its full retail price.
