Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent picture quality and favorable price of the S2316M 23" IPS LED HD Monitor. Many also appreciate its ease of use and color accuracy, while some users find the lack of HDMI and built-in speakers to be drawbacks. The stand's fixed position and potential glare are additional points of concern for a few customers.

It does what's advertised. No complaints. The Dell Display Manger utility is very handy.

This is a great monitor if you don't need mounting or very bright display.

Good monitor, wish it had a HDMI, but VGA and DVI worked out just fine.

Don't buy to use with a laptop

My business uses all Dell laptops (nearly all are less than a year old), but this monitor has been a MAJOR problem. It might be ok with a desktop, but since it only has VGA/DVI outputs (no HDMI), and most laptops don't have a VGA port, you need to use a VGA to HDMI or USB connector. Every time this monitor is unplugged from a laptop, you need to shutdown/reboot multiple times to get it out of power saving mode. Dell has worked on this for hours, and even sent a replacement, but the problem persists. Literally going to throw it away to buy a monitor with an HDMI connection. Very dissappointing

Every 2-3 minutes, the monitor enters power save mode. I have installed most recent drivers, but the problem persists. Will return item.

I should have read more carefully, but its somewhat expected now for a "HD" monitor to have HDMI.
