Must Have!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a student who was in need of a bigger screen to have more tabs open and I wanted something that wouldn't hurt my eyes. This is absolutely amazing! The thin black bezels make it feel so immersive. HIGHLY recommend. I wish it had speakers though.

Good for the price point. Some quibbles.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this yesterday as a second monitor for use while streaming on Twitch. My main monitor is a Samsung Q7F 55" QLED TV, for comparison's sake. This Dell is decent enough. It's light, yet solidly enough built. I'm not horribly impressed with the depth of blackness. I'm not done playing with the saturation and contrast yet, but I suspect that it will never be as dark/sharp as it should be, purely because of how it's actually lit. A backplane QLED TV which exhibits some bloom still manages an overall better performance on depth of colour and deepness of blacks. That said, it is actually an HDR-capable unit, although not in every mode. I turned mine to Game Mode, and high dynamic contrast turned on in the menus. It is responsive to my turning Colour to "Full" in NVidia Control Panel. The menu system is easy to use, and intuitive. The stand is decently solid. The packaging... I don't know what world Dell lives in where protecting the back glossy plastic and even the outside (thin, outward-facing) edges of the bevel with plastic film is a priority over covering the bloody screen, but that -is- apparently the dimension in which they live. Also, so far the screen is a complete pain to clean. It's an oil magnet. Be prepared to spend quite a while cleaning it if you get fingerprints on it. I've tried eyeglass cleaning wipes, which worked inadequately. I had better luck with rubbing alcohol and paper towel. I'm going to switch to Windex, based on those two experiences. Also, unlike many LCD/LED monitors since 2012, this one seems to like to attract dust in terms of the screen acting like it's statically charged. This is on the first night, mind you. Paper towel, not the best for cleaning this. I'll be investing in some microfiber cloth. Note that anti-glare is -not- anti-reflection, and honestly is barely anti-glare given moderate lighting, let alone sunlight through windows. Short of eyeglasses with the really expensive coating, you can almost never trust the phrase "anti-glare", and this unit is no exception. All told, it's a solid enough purchase, especially for $169. Could I have gotten a better monitor? Sure, if I added $120-200 more to the cost. For a spare monitor, or for people on a budget, it's a no-brainer, and go ahead and get it. As a main monitor for someone who can afford better, I'd advise investing in better.

Good Picture and Great Design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a second monitor for my computer and this one does the trick. The screen resolution is very good for videos. Not a gaming monitor but I didnt need it to be. Also, the design is very good and fits in a compact space. I would recommend this monitor.

Excellent monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hooked this monitor up to my Dell laptop in just a few minutes and it works flawlessly. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you will need an adapter. I needed a mini Display port to HDMI adapter. Excellent quality for my basic needs (reading documents). The large screen makes it much easier on my eyes.

HDMI only
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very disappointed to discover this was HDMI only. I purchased a converter however the monitor is still not working with my laptop. Very frustrating. I'll cook tonite top work on it top figure out how to make it work with my laptop but I really expected it to work put off the box and for everything to be intuitive but the drivers didn't load automatically and even after finding them down I haven't had any luck. Shouldn't purchase this again.
