Not the replacement for my lap top

I had hoped to use this Venue as a replacement for my lap top, but it doesn't have the processing speed and ease of use that I had hoped to get. I had added accessories (like a mouse and keyboard) hoping to bridge the gap, but the relatively slow processing speed and quirks of Windows 8.1 (like it is not compatible with my current e-mail) will keep me from shelving my lap top. Ends up that it is a pretty expensive format to play some games.

My third tablet now and have hit the jackpot. Very fast and great features and high resolution screen.

I've had this for less than 2 hours. I've run through the setup which took a little while. Mine did not come with any sort of instructions so I muddled my way through and figured it out fairly quickly.
However, my next thought was to check out how cool the camera was. I opened it up and it was a black screen. I clicked on video and I got nothing on the screen. I clicked on the panoramic and up came an image I could photograph. So after playing with the panoramic I figured I'd jump back to photo and it went back to the black screen. Then all of a sudden the entire unit froze. When I'd push the windows button I could feel a slight vibrate but I couldn't use the tablet at all. I tried plugging it in thinking perhaps the battery died and that I didn't let it charge long enough. Nothing fixed it. I had to take the battery out and unplug the unit to hold the power button a few minutes to ensure the unit had no charge left. When I plugged it back in I was so lucky to get the DELL screen to pop back up. After logging back in I couldn't use any app as it said that the user controls were not setup. Nothing would fix that either so I had to restart.
I'm not feeling good about my very expensive purchase. I do have the ATOM processor and not sure if that is the problem or not but I did look into it I found that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Which makes me very nervous because how am I going to feel in a few months when and if this continues to happen and I'm out of the return policy? At this point I would not recommend this to anyway.
