A couple more USB ports would be nice and touch pad is a little fickle. Otherwise, very nice.

Took the computer out of the box, the mouse worked for 2 minutes and then became very slow. We took it back to Best Buy and they could not fix it and since they do not carry them in stores we were without a laptop. They were very helpful - which is why 2 stars, not one, but it was disappointing to have it break so quickly.

This laptop performs adequately sometimes, but it occasionally locks up, and the screen saver settings almost never work. It was way too expensive for this level of performance.

Bought this for my daughter, who is a college student. She previously had a Mac and a SurfacePro and this one is her favorite, by far.

This was an extremely disappointing purchase! The keypad is awkward to use and difficult to clean. Forget the touchscreen. It is completely unusable because it is too awkward. The stretched screen does not work well with a projector no matter the settings or properties used. The screen text is too tiny to read without special glasses. As for Dell support, it does not exist. It is simply a warranty sales scam. There are no knowledgeable tech support employees. They are hired to sell warranties and that is it. If you only want to purchase a one-time support, they will take your payment and tell you that they have no training, cannot help, and hang up the phone. Forget Geek Squad. They also told me that they receive no training and are unable to assist with even the smallest issue! One Geek Squad employee told me that he was hired to sell and was not allowed to help customers solve tech issues.

This device kept dropping the internet wifi connection. Connection was good as checked by my other laptop connection and diagnosis tool. Very disappointed and returned the product to my local store. Best Buy took the return with no problem. Great place to buy electronics.

I am a current MacBook Pro user and was looking for something that weighs under 3lbs. so that I can carry it with me for travel. I would love to take my MBP, but that thing weighs over 5lbs. So I decided to give a Windows 10 device a chance as I wanted to have an alternative to OS X just in case there are applications that are not compatible with it. At first impression, the Dell XPS 13 is a beautiful Ultrabook. Great edge to edge screen. It was light, thin and has a great screen. Has a lot of connections available. But, that's where all of the positives stop.
First off, the performance of the device is where this failed for me and ended up returning the unit. Being that I am an Apple guy, I missed not being to go back to the previous page by just swiping left to right on the track pad. But in order to do this with Win 10, I would have to press the left arrow and alt keys. I just felt that it was inconvenient and not efficient. The track pad is another fail as there is a delay and not smooth scrolling or pinching functionalities. When scrolling, the track pad either didn't scroll like I would want it to. It would either overshoot the or not get it right where I want to scroll to. Also, when watching a video, if you play with the volume, the picture starts to jitter and kind of shake a little. I think this is more of an OS issue than the Dell itself. One last thing is the battery on this thing was not very consistent. At one point, it would say that I have about 9 hours remaining on the Battery Saver mode. But then 5 minutes later, it drops down to about 5 hours. This is when I'm just browsing and not even streaming.
If you are coming from a Mac, I would definitely vote against buying this device or any Windows device. You are going to be disappointed big time and the user experience is not as smooth and functional.

I bought this laptop for school and the screen was glitchy from the moment I turned it on. It would keep flashing on and off. I ended up returning it the next day for an HP.

I bought this computer online and then picked it up at my local Best Buy. I was hoping to replace my 2010 MacBook Pro that was starting to seriously slow and needed a battery replacement. I decided to go with a PC because I just graduated from college with an accounting degree and wanted to be able to fully utilize the Microsoft Office products that my company uses. For the first couple of days, I was actually really happy with it. The screen is gorgeous and it really is very thin. About 6 days into using it, I got a little discouraged by the fact that the keyboard and trackpad were already showing signs of wear. I enjoyed typing on the keyboard but it was very flimsy and I could actually see the whole thing move when I pressed a key. The trackpad is just sad compared to what Apple has going on. The cursor would jump around and highlight things constantly. I actually bought a Dell mouse because I had so much trouble controlling it. Then, I started to hear one of the most awful noises ever coming from under the keyboard. It was a high-pitched screech that was so noticeable that a coworker pointed it out from one cubicle away. I did research and read about issues with "coil whine" in this computer and how some people can hear it better than others. Apparently, I have a strong ear for high frequencies because it drove me nuts from then on. Every time I moved the mouse or typed, it would go crazy. I never ran anything more than Word and the internet at the same time so I was in disbelief that it was acting so stressed. A day later I experienced problems with the screen freezing, the screen flashing like a strobe light, and then it died in less than 10 hours while sitting on my desk closed. I couldn't believe it and returned it after 10 days. I don't know if I got a lemon or if these things are normal but I wasn't willing to risk it. So, until Apple releases the new MacBook Pro later this year, I'll be using my old Mac which, honestly, works way better than this XPS did brand new. Sigh... I do want to add, however, that Best Buy was amazing and the return process was so smooth. I'll definitely get my new Mac here later this year.

Great machine, great advice selecting it

Fastest machine I have ever used. Switched jobs so no longer using a company Dell machine. The graphics / display are world class, the edgeless frame makes the machine far more portable, and the i7 processor is fast enough to handle anything I am doing in excel
Best Buy folks helped me select the XPS 13 which is a great value for the money...looks like this specific one is no longer available anywhere. I highly recommend the fastest i7 chip, the 13" size, the solid state hard drive, and 8 rather than 16 GHz ram to cut down the cost
oh, and when there was a problem with the wifi drivers, the geek squad solved the problem rather than sending it to Dell for 2-3 weeks
so I would not buy electronics anywhere else and this machine is a great high performance business tool

Best Ultrabook Out!!

I'm a college student and was looking to upgrade from my old laptop. I wanted something portable, but with enough features and power to get work done. After much research, I decided to go with this Dell XPS 13. I do not regret my decision whatsoever. It fits in my backpack perfectly and the infinity edge screen is beautiful. I was skeptical at first if I should have went with the 15" XPS, but I'm glad I didnt. The thunderbolt C-Type port transfers files quick and is useful when I need to do presentations. The hardrive is quick also and with my high wifi speed at home, it works excellent and fast. When writing papers, the keys felt a little close but after a few minutes of typing they become comfortable. Dell has done an exceptional job with this product and I 100% think I got my money's worth. If your looking for an Ultrabook that is portable and performs, look no further. Did I mention the screen? Stunning lol. My classmates are jealous.
P.s. I chose this over the Macbook Pro and love it.

I bought this laptop and it was great for 30 days. One day when I watched movie, the laptop suddenly got stuck and vibrated. I had to push the power button to restart it. It happened 3 times until I contacted the manufacturer.
