Never again..

Dell customer service was able to fix my issue but definitely would not recommend.

Wish it was the computer I wanted it to be.

Research research research, a few trial and errors, and I brought home the Dell XPS 13 (late 2015 model); one of the most highly reviewed laptops of the past year. It's a few months later and I find I'm crushingly disappointed. My UHD touch screen unit is a power hog. There is no stretch which offers the kind of numbers subscribed by Dell, not even close. I'm on this unit for 50 minutes now with power saver on, screen at 30%, every power saving angle in full effort - and I'm down to 58% battery remaining. The space bar rattled from the start and now won't depress at all. There is a lovely crackle, soft but present, whispered through the speakers when scrolling on the touchpad. Quite often entire texts/images vanish, poof, within windows opened on the screen - which now seems to include emails, making them tricky to read. Is there a percentage of units in any product line which aren't up to snuff, sure. Am I angry I seem to own one, surprisingly not. But three things are going to happen. I've got to bring this wounded pup in for aggressive repairs. After completed I don't see myself using this laptop as I originally intended as my faith in it has been dashed. And as this is my third Dell purchase in the last decade, and the second one to burn me, I pretty sure I'm finished with Dell.

Didn't work

Though with the camera in the bottom left corner, you'd probably have to put the computer across the room from you in order to skype. The error messages began the day I bought my i7 xps from Best Buy. I called the Geek Squad and told them what the messages were and they told me the messages were caused by hardware problems and to return it while still under warranty. Previously I had purchased an xps i5 laptop from Dell and Dell Techs determined that it had hardware problems so I returned it and Dell sent me an i7 in exchange. Dell Techs finally determined the i7 had a defective networking card along with other problems so I returned it too. After purchasing 3 XPS, all with hardware problems, I find it difficult to believe any of them work.
