Pros: edge-to-edge screen, screen resolution, performance, lightweight, small foot print, available ports, two charging options. Cons: camera placement, touch pad a little loud when clicking, but tap option circumvents the need to click in most cases. Touch pad can be a little sensitive when scrolling, but I'm being picky. This configuration (i7, 256GB and touchscreen) of the Dell XPS 13 seems to have the best reviews over other configurations. I have not experienced issues with the keyboard or trackpad like some. My typing experience is very good and I like that the back-lit keyboard turns off on its own and lights up when you need it. I exchanged the latest HP 13.3 for this unit and glad I did, though I really liked the HP, too. This laptop allows you to use the factory charger with separate barrel plug or a 45w USB-C laptop adapter or multi port charging device or compatible external battery. Having versatile charging options is important to me as I am on the road quite a bit. I haven't had the computer long enough to examine the battery life claims, but seems to drain faster than advertised. The screen is awesome and almost too beautiful to use as a touchscreen. This unit is only 6 ounces heavier than the HP 13.3 Spectre that I exchanged, but it is noticeable, but still beats laptops weighing over 3 lbs.

This is a great laptop! I have owned it for about a month now, and so far it has worked amazing for me. I purchased the Open-Box certified version and it was a completely new laptop in perfect condition. I have used it for school, and its smaller frame is a great feature! The screen looks amazing and is by far my favorite feature of this laptop. The sound quality of this laptop is surprisingly good. It reaches a loud volume at high quality for a 13". This laptop also contains of plenty of power. I have been able to play games, and edit video. It went way smoother than expected! This is a great laptop and I personally believe the Dell XPS line is the best on the market!

It has a beautiful screen and best resolution forts size, However, 4K is too soon to buy. 4K is not for me because some apps(VLC, adobe CS5, winamp) don't support 4k, so their icons are very tiny can't even use. we can make them bigger with regedit but they and the text will blurry. Even i tried to decrease the resolution to HD, text will be blurry because it is not its native resolution. Battery life last for 5 to 6hours.

I love the Dell XPS 13 computer. It's super fast and super transportable. My only disappointment (which made me dock it a star) was on Best Buy's part. The specs listed on their website were incorrect and I bought it based on the specs listed (re: number of USB and HDMI ports). I kept the computer after I realized I would never find a similar computer with the number of ports I wanted. Still it's an excellent computer and I can get adaptors or external ports if necessary.

Great performance for size including very nice screen, but gets very hot so you can't leave it on your lap for long periods of time.

I purchased this laptop to use for graduate school in Electrical Engineering. I did a ton of research before purchasing and I landed on this gem. I've run everything from Matlab, Tina, Labview, and java coding using NetBeans on this laptop and I've yet to have any issues with the computer itself. It looks very sleek. The carbon fiber interior design hides a lot of the smudging you would see on a silver machine and the edge to edge screen still looks beautiful even after 4 months of having it. This laptop is super portable and thin, but has the computing power to do anything you throw at it quickly! Battery life is more than enough for when I'm not at home and allows me to run from class to work without a concern of the battery dying. Would absolutely recommend to a friend and definitely buy again.

The computer is really sleek and fast when it comes to regular functions. When searching on the internet I read that it was also a great gaming computer. However, I downloaded a game and the game would randomly freeze or crash the game. I don't know if its the computer or my internet, but other than that its a pretty good computer.

Very high resolution screen and amazing laptop , no issues reported so far in a months time. I am a Windows fan as I work on excel and power points . So don't like MacBook Pro because of the functionalities. I bought it for $1300 so I could have afforded MacBook Pro but being a Windows fan, this machine is fast , slick, compact , powerful , light weight , nice aluminum body, great processing power so pretty fast ... Did not notice any issues so far ...

I bought the xps because multiple sites I looked at had it listed as the best laptop of 2016. It hasn't disappointed, had a few hiccups in the beginning but all were fixed with updates and drivers from dell.

Great screen. Gods up to wear & tear. Only complaints are webcam placement by keyboard & small hard drive. Super portable which makes it easy to bring to meetings & more likely to get used than bigger laptops.

I've purchased/used around a dozen different laptops, including a MacBook, and this one has been the best overall performing one of the bunch. Excellent screen, fast, lightweight, sufficient battery life and comfortable keyboard. I plan on purchasing a second one for the family.

This laptop is really convenient since I'm a high school student, and I only use it for school use and my Microsoft office class. The only bad thing about this is the battery life. With normal web browsing and Word usage, the battery can only last around 4-5hours.

Portability was an important consideration for my purchase, so I've been very happy with the weight and battery power. The keys clack in a pleasing way when I type, and I like the really wide screen. Will need to get extra adapters because the laptop is too thin to have an ethernet or hdmi port

Well i fell in love with this computer because of its looks. The screen is awesome, the keyboard feels great and it had a touch screen with an I7cpu. I purchased this computer and started to use it when i noticed the touch pad was pretty bad. I could barley control the movement of the cursor and it took me way to long to do my homework. I had to resort to using the touching screen to scroll because it was too difficult for me to use the touch pad. I had to return it because it wasn't working for me. If you can handle the touch pad you will love this computer. I know i did and it was hard for me to return it.

The battery had to be replaced within a month after I purchased it! Since I've gotten it back it has been working fine. I still need to get used to the smaller overall size as I'm used to a 15" screen.. Unless something else goes wrong I think this will be a totally satisfying machine.

The Dell XPS has a great display super fast slim and sleek very portable and lightweight so glad I made this purchase I would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable laptop

Only complaint is the touchpad is quirky and troublesome at times.
