Found and open box offering at the local Best Buy. It is a great computer for the price. Came loaded with Windows 8, which was upgraded to Windows 10 the first day out of the box. Have not had any issues running any program and it is much faster than my old HP Pavilion Elite.

Great for those of us who prefer desktops over laptops or tablets. Easy set us.

Continued issues with computer continues. Computer freezes and having to restart over and over. Still problems with files. Loading music and video is a joke. It sucks right now !!!!!

This may be old inventory, but to have 2 towers crash the same way within 2 days of being installed is not a good sign. We actually tried to order a third one and it was "no longer available at this location." Whatever that means. We decided to try an Apple instead. It is beautiful and works. It also has many features for visual and hearing impaired. Who knew!

When I bought it, there was a problem with the device. I had geek squad check it out . Ultimately I had to return the product and buy something else.

When it comes to video, this pc is way faster than anything I own. Using Handbrake I can take a 1280 x 720p 2.48GB 30 minute video file and compress it down to 745MB MP4 file in 6 minutes 10 seconds, at 292.2 frames per second. Now, does this fantastic speed transfer to casual web surfing or creating a document with Microsoft Office. No, you will not notice a significant speed difference using Office or casual web browsing. Why? Because these programs only utilize 1 core. The other cores are essentially not used. What would be a good use for this pc? Working with large video files. Autocad. Compiling a software program. Medium duty gaming. Compared to all the tablet computers and notebook computers out there this pc won't be obsolete for many years.

I picked this unit because it had a nice set of components and was told it was pretty hot and could do anything, especially if I upgraded the video card. Well it is a nice box but it freezes constantly. I am always having to wait for it to "rest" and then go on. I even bumped ram to 20GB and still have problems. Not just occassionally, but every day. It does not like to mulit-task.

I bought the Dell XPS 8700 on bestbuy.com a few weeks ago. Thought it would be a nice computer for livestreaming and light gaming on a budget. But boy was I wrong... When I received the computer, there was a huge problem. There must of been a short somewhere in the motherboard (Upon further research, this seems to be a big issue with Dell.) The computer would not power on although it was receiving power. I took the machine to my local store to return it, and they set up a new order for me. When the 2nd 8700 came it worked great. For about 10 minutes.... Then the wifi card stopped working. 2 strikes, you're out dell... Going with an Asus this time.

So this won't impact most people, but... The description of the products states it has a Display Port connection. Which it does... however, it is disabled. Due to the inclusion of the Nvida Video card, which DOESN'T have a display port, the on-board one is disabled. So for now, I have to pull the NVIDA 4gb card... so I can use the on-board DisplayPort... until I can identify a replacement video card. My KVM is Mini-DisplayPort based, and you can't go from an HDMI/DVI output to a DisplayPort input (you can go the other way, the adapters are 1 directional)
