We’re very happy with the purchase and the quality of espresso this machine makes. The only down side being the speed at which it heats up is a bit slow. Rest all good.

I love espresso as I’ve felt it gives me that extra boost to my coffee experience in the morning. Regular coffee is great, but I’ve felt that my body has grown accustomed to that double-shot addition to my morning routine. I just didn’t want to spend $5 at the coffee shop every morning which adds up. Thankfully, I now can enjoy my espresso shots from home and that matches my budget. After a few weeks of usage, I am impressed with DeLonghi’s 15 bar pump. Pros: -Easy set up: this is my first espresso machine and wondered how easy/difficult it would be in brewing my own espresso. Set up was easy as you are given clear instructions to clear out first with water before using it. The included Portafilter comes with 2 different shot options (1 or 2 shots). The water tank holds around 35 oz of water. -Daily usage: pretty straight forward. You place the amount of espresso powder into the Filter, scooped up by the included Measuring Spoon and Tamper. I went straight for the double shot, using espresso fro Illy. Turing it on, you have to wait about a minute before you can switch the Nobel to the pouring stage. You do have to eyeball how much you want to dispense. Frothing was pretty simple task. Cons: -No Frothing cup or shot glass. I wished these were included in the box. If you want the full experience, you do have to go out and purchase these items. Otherwise, just a large espresso mug would suffice and pouring regular milk from the carton. -Portafilter cleaning: the filter comes out easily, which is both good and bad. I wanted to remove the used up espresso from the filter and thought I can just turn it upside down and shake the espresso out. Nope. The entire filter fell out. It’s best to just place it under running water and clean it that way. Again, wished they had a way to lock in the filter so you can easily empty out the espresso. Overall, this is a very basic espresso machine. It gets the job done and dispenses the espresso pretty fast. Meets my daily needs which is the most important factor.

This De’Longhi Stilosa Espresso Machine exceeded my expectations in both its size and quality! I was looking for a high quality yet small espresso machine for making espresso before classes. I definitely wanted the espresso to be high quality and not bitter, and this little machine did the job! It produces a bold-tasting espresso and is super easy to use. It can be a little noisy but what it creates in noise is compensated for by the quality of the espresso. Would recommend to any coffee lover out there! Don't recommend at all. Took a long time to clean, directions were unclear, bigger filter was jammed into porta filter holder. 1st, BB website said they had 3 in stock. I drive all the way there only to find out that they don't have any. Went to another store, same problem. Feeling defeated, I ordered it online. So much anticipation only to be disappointed. I'll be sure not to recommend this brand & will try to dissuade ppl from buying it from BB if they insist on getting it.

It makes flavorful and full bodied expresso. A little noisy, but it is ok. Easy to use and clean. Compact size, which is perfect for small spaces. The problem I'm having is that the control dial is not working anymore. So if you want a coffee machine just for a year, it is perfect for you. If you want to enjoy it longer, I do not recommend.

I bought this espresso machine 2 years ago, so this is a review after long term use! I love my lattes. But I finally reached the point where I realized just buying 3 a week was costing me about $1000 per year. So I just quit. But after about 6months, I realized I missed them. I did not know if I could make them taste the same if I made them. So I looked for an inexpensive espresso machine, one where the money I saved would cover the purchase in just a few months. This is what I bought. I use Bustello espresso grind. I am not enough of a purist to grind my own beans! Lol Starting out, I had no idea what I was doing. How does one work a manual machine? How long do I leave it running etc? So I began the grand experiment! My first six tries were not good, and I threw them all out. But I persevered, I found that I did not have to run a single shot through for very long, maybe 20 seconds or so. I also do not have a big need for lots of foam, or for artwork in my drink. So I figured out how to measure out the required half and half (yes I do like the creamy nature of half and half!) Into a regular kitchen glass. I do not even use the wand. I realized that a cold glass with 6 oz 1/2&1/2 would heat to the perfect temp in my mictowave set on 90 seconds. I do not need any additional foam. The foam and crema out of the espresso machine work just fine. As a result, I make a great tasting latte now! I went through a honeymoon period in the first two months, and nade enough lattes for my wife and myself that the machine paid for itself. From there I settled down, and when I wake up now and say, ooh, I would like a latte. Then I happily make it, about once or twice a week. Here is a picture of the one I made this morning. Soooo good. Simple reliable inexpensive machine. Bit of a learning curve to use it, but you can find several youtube videos to help you get there. I am thrilled with my purchase. Still works great after two years.
