I'm really enjoying this as my first espresso machine. It's very straightforward to use, and I'm having a lot of fun learning how to pull good shots.
Initial setup has you run it through two full tanks of water. I ran it through three just to be safe. It makes a bit of noise and vibration when it's pulling the shot which isn't that surprising. It heats up and is ready to pull shots pretty quickly
I have mine set up in a bedroom, so the small size is much appreciated. If it were any bigger I probably wouldn't have gotten it. It's a handsome looking machine which is pleasant. I've only used it to pull shots, I haven't used the steamer at all aside from initial setup so I can't speak to how nicely it steams milk, but I enjoy the shots I've been able to make with it.
There's a fairly short amount of space below the portafilter once it's inserted, so if you're pulling shots into an ordinary coffee mug you'll most likely need to remove the drip tray for it to fit. I bought some cute espresso mugs that fit just fine, which are also a good visual aid to make sure I'm not overextracting the shot.
Because the boiler is in the top of the machine, the top gets toasty (the part above the knob, not the part that opens up to the water reservoir) which is an extra benefit for desktop use, since you can put your mug on top to keep it from cooling off quite so fast. I wouldn't worry about burning myself on it but it does retain heat for a good amount of time after the machine is turned off.
Overall I like this machine a lot, and I'd recommend it to anyone else who wants something small and simple to use

If you are looking for coffee shop espresso or cappuccino or just want to bring the Barista home but don’t want to spend a lot of money then the De’Longhi Silosa is the perfect espresso machine for you. The De’Longhi has become our new espresso machine and we absolutely love it. We are able to make great tasting coffee and espresso with the perfect froth right at home.
The De’Longhi Stilosa is a 15-bar pump espresso maker with a stainless-steel broiler for that perfect coffee extraction. The Stilosa comes in a matte black and stainless-steel finish and comes with a filter holder for ground coffee, 1 or 2 cup, measuring spoon and tamper and 1-liter removable water tank and drip. The stainless-steel steamer for the cappuccinos and lattes wand doubles as a hot water dispenser for teas. The drip tray adjusts to accommodate different size cups.

As a coffee enthusiast, I recently purchased the De'Longhi Stilosa 15 Bar Pump Espresso Machine in Black and Stainless, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This machine is a game-changer in my morning routine!
First off, let's talk about the design. The black and stainless steel exterior not only looks sleek and modern on my countertop but also adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen decor. Plus, the compact size fits perfectly in my small kitchen space without compromising on performance.
Speaking of performance, the 15-bar pump ensures that every shot of espresso I make is rich, flavorful, and topped with a perfect crema. Whether I'm craving a bold espresso or a creamy cappuccino, this machine delivers consistently excellent results.
One of my favorite features is how user-friendly it is. With just the push of a button, I can brew my favorite espresso drinks without any hassle. Cleanup is a breeze too, thanks to the removable drip tray and water tank.
Overall, the De'Longhi Stilosa has exceeded my expectations in terms of both performance and design. It's the perfect addition to any coffee lover's kitchen and has truly elevated my at-home coffee experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish espresso machine.

This espresso machine has become a daily essential in my home. It makes an amazing Cuban coffee with rich flavor, and the milk frother creates a perfect creamy foam that I absolutely love. Despite being compact in size, it is very complete and powerful, making it ideal for smaller kitchens without sacrificing quality. Easy to use, easy to clean, and the results are always delicious. Truly the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned — I use it every day and highly recommend it.

This is a really nice Espresso Machine that doesn't take up too much of a footprint on your countertop. It's a solidly built well-made machine that performs as expected. My barista trained son is impressed with its ease of use and the quality of the output. Thankfully, this machine doesn't require a barista to operate and produce a tasty espresso and get it done in less than 5 minutes.

Let's start with the basics -
I love coffee, but I am not a coffee snob where I grind my own beans and whatnot. But I do love a good cup of coffee with cream and sugar, or flavored creamer. Black coffee is not really my "cup of tea."
With that said, I love this machine. I use it about 2-4 times a day (about one or two latte's for myself, double it since I'll make my wife her drinks, too). We have been playing around with different coffee roasts, milks, etc.
Key things to know - I don't know how long to run the machine for a good espresso shot. I've been using a timer or going by look. Again, not a coffee snob, so I don't know! But so far, all my coffees have come out really good.
Steamer - it can get loud. I don't know how loud other ones are, but omg. I feel like I need earplugs because it will make my ears vibrate. To clarify, the machine itself is not the loud part. It's when the steamer is heating the milk and the sound of the pressure. If you turn it on to clean it on to a damp cloth, it's not that loud. Just in the milk.
Overall, I love this machine. In the month I've owned it, I've been to a coffee shop twice - once because we were with friends, and another time because we were out and about. Otherwise, we look forward to using it at home.
We don't like "single purpose" appliances typically, but this one is used daily.

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to review your machine with such an exceptional star rating. We’re sorry that your unit is making a loud noise while frothing the milk, and we will gladly assist you with some tips.
Please note that the way you position the steam wand can affect the noise level. If the wand is too deep in the milk or not angled properly, it can create turbulence, leading to more noise. You can check this video as a reference on how to position the milk jug. https://youtu.be/Op87fFDFsvM?si=2EktxcQDo7zaqLv6
We value you as our customer and look forward to resolving any concerns you may have promptly.

I’ve had this machine for over a month, and I’m really enjoying using it. You can definitely pull some nice shots with this machine. I use freshly roasted whole beans, a manual hand grinder, a bottomless portafilter, and a tamper that delivers 30 pounds of consistent pressure. If you use pre-ground espresso with the pressurized portafilter and plastic tamper that come with the machine, the shots are just not going to be good. But this machine can be really great by adding a few little upgrades. However, the steam wand with the cover is terrible. It doesn’t produce the microfoam needed for latte art, so if you’re specifically looking for that this machine is probably not for you. There are ways to make nice silky textured milk - watch Tom’s Coffee Corner video on this machine on YouTube to see how - but if your main purpose for buying an espresso machine is to make lattes, I would still recommend a machine with a better steam wand.

This machine is a valid entry level to your espresso journey. It isn't perfect, and I'll explain my gripes with it, but it's certainly a way to make good espresso provided you can dial it in.
First the gripes:
1. The machine feels cheap - it's almost all plastic where you touch it, the dials don't feel great, the portafilter fits poorly in the machine so you have to exert a lot of effort to get it to lock into place. In tandem, the machine is so light you have to hold it down while you do that, and it just feels bad to do.
2. The machine pumps at WAY too high a pressure. This means you'll have to grind your coffee coarser than you'd probably like, and it will always have that high pressure taste. Plus you'll need to get a puck screen so the water doesn't dig out a huge channel.
3. The portafilter is... Not great. It's pressurized, which you can undo, but you'll want to get a new basket and even then the portafilter itself will retain so much coffee it's crazy. Plus it's 51mm as opposed to the more common 54 or 58mm that most espresso machines tend to be - so while gear is definitely available, it's not as abundant as other sizes. To add on, the pressurized filter baskets (which again, are easily changeable) have gaskets that fit them into everything snugly, and the 14g dosed basket already blew out on me. I already purchased an 18g 51mm basket, but this fit very poorly due to the design where the mouth of the portafilter is likely 52mm despite the internal being 51. Accessories are necessary, but just be aware of what you actually need.
Now for the positives:
1. It's a well featured machine - while nothing on it is excellent in my experience, it's not necessarily bad once you dial in and figure out your preferences. You WILL need to practice with it, and you WILL need to grind your own coffee for it, but it absolutely makes good espresso drinks once you get there. Little things like a removable water tank just make it a bit more pleasant.
2. It's CHEAP. You might think that $120 for something that means you do a lot of work to make coffee might be a bit expensive, but in the world of espresso, that's nothing. Especially considering you could feasibly make cappuccinos and proper shots with it.
3. The small footprint makes this perfect to just leave in my break room so I can have a nice cup of coffee when I need it - I don't have to take up a ton of space with a big expensive machine that I'd be worried about someone breaking.
Overall I think the machine has great value as an entry level or extra machine. It takes some work but I've had great use out of it thus far - though I will be sure to update with the durability of the machine as that becomes apparent.

I can make my own Lattes now. Yay!

I bought this espresso machine 2 years ago, so this is a review after long term use!
I love my lattes. But I finally reached the point where I realized just buying 3 a week was costing me about $1000 per year. So I just quit. But after about 6months, I realized I missed them. I did not know if I could make them taste the same if I made them. So I looked for an inexpensive espresso machine, one where the money I saved would cover the purchase in just a few months. This is what I bought.
I use Bustello espresso grind. I am not enough of a purist to grind my own beans! Lol
Starting out, I had no idea what I was doing. How does one work a manual machine? How long do I leave it running etc?
So I began the grand experiment!
My first six tries were not good, and I threw them all out. But I persevered, I found that I did not have to run a single shot through for very long, maybe 20 seconds or so. I also do not have a big need for lots of foam, or for artwork in my drink. So I figured out how to measure out the required half and half (yes I do like the creamy nature of half and half!) Into a regular kitchen glass. I do not even use the wand. I realized that a cold glass with 6 oz 1/2&1/2 would heat to the perfect temp in my mictowave set on 90 seconds. I do not need any additional foam. The foam and crema out of the espresso machine work just fine.
As a result, I make a great tasting latte now! I went through a honeymoon period in the first two months, and nade enough lattes for my wife and myself that the machine paid for itself. From there I settled down, and when I wake up now and say, ooh, I would like a latte. Then I happily make it, about once or twice a week. Here is a picture of the one I made this morning. Soooo good.
Simple reliable inexpensive machine. Bit of a learning curve to use it, but you can find several youtube videos to help you get there. I am thrilled with my purchase. Still works great after two years.

I received the De'Longhi - Stilosa 15 Bar Pump Espresso Machine in less than 24 hours so that was a huge plus. It takes up very little space which is nice because I only have so much room on my coffee bar and have other machines that take up space also. It was easy to prime and very simple to make espresso. I have made a few iced espressos so far. I saw someone mention it is loud and vibrates, I also had this issue but after taking out the water reservoir and re-entering a couple of times it that stopped and I have not had an issue since. It is actually not thta loud at all. I also noticed that someone was complaining about having to let it reheat to make more than two 1 oz servings and that this is an issue when serving a bunch of people but emptying and rinsing the portafilter is quick and easy and the machine heats up super fast after using it for the first cup (or two if doing two at a time). Another plus is that the steamer/frothier dispenses water as this comes in handy when I want tea or hot chocolate, etc. The frothier/steamer is powerful and does a great job of frothing and heating. So far this is a great little machine at an excellent price. I cannot speak on how long it will last since I just purchased and received it but I do not think durability will be an issue.

I had some help using for the first time since I am not a coffee aficionado
Great packaging so unit arrived is perfect shape..
We did run water through for the unit as described before the 1st batch.
What we noticed is it does not come with all the accessories you would typically use. Something to consider as you shop. (Our helper brought their own set and I am sure you can purchase your own online.)
While there is a frothing wand, the cup is not included. I suggest a metal cup with a rubber handle and you need something to put your drink into like a shot glass etc.. The tamp / measuring spoon is an all in one tool and was included. You may also want a thermometer.
As a beginner, I will say that this machine worked well and made a mean cappuccino. Our helper did freshly grind the beans which I am sure contributed to the fresh taste.
This is an all manual unit, so no bells and whistles, but appears solidly made and nice looking on the counter.
Instructions are easy to follow.
I like the removable drip tray for not only the cleaning aspect, but the ability to put a larger up under the filter. With the tray you have about 3.3” (85mm) of clearance and without 4.3” (110mm).
Steamer worked nice and doubles as a hot water dispenser if you are a tea drinker or you make americanos.
Our helper thought it created larger bubbles than she liked at first, but then noticed she just needed to put the wand in a little deeper into the cup to get the frothy results she was used to on the professional units.
Clean up is easy as well.
All-in-all I would say this unit is a great value for the Cappuccino, Expresso or Latte lover in your family.

THE BREAKDOWN:
Overall simple at a great price point. It comes with a stainless-steel boiler which is unique for something at this price point. It has all plastic casing with stainless accents. There is a good amount of space between the portafilter and tray (approximately 4.25 inches) with a removable riser/drip tray to allow for larger cups. The portafilter (51mm) is pressurized only and has 2 different basket sizes one is a double shot (14grams) and the other is a single shot (7 grams). There is a storage container in the back to store the baskets. There is also a one-liter water reservoir located there as well. The reservoir is removable, but it does not have a filter. The water level is viewable from the front of the machine. It does come with a scoop and tamper as well. It also has a simple easy to use and movable steam arm.
It has pretty simple features, up front you have one light that is an indicator that the machine is on and one that indicates it is ready to be used. It has a knob that has the following functions, steam, off, on and hot water/coffee. The hot water setting using the steam arm can be used to warm your cup.
The unit is about 11 inches tall so it can easily fit under the countertop and small spaces. Which I found to be really nice. There is a cup warmer located on the top of the machine which is also a nice feature.
Overall, if you are into manually making your espresso this machine is does that very well at a very good price point.
PRO’s:
-Small form factor
-Easy to use
-Cup warmer
-Stainless steel accents and broiler.
CON’s:
-Could use a filter in the water reservoir

Summary: Looking for an espresso machine for a budget price. Think no more. De'Longhi Stilosa is the one for you.
I bought this machine 3 weeks ago, the first one that was delivered to me was a faulty machine but I was happy to exchange it for a new one.
I have been using this machine for couple weeks now, making around 2-3 cups of coffee a day and I think this is a great espresso machine to start with. It takes up very little counter space, makes a good espresso and the milk frother works well too.
One suggestion I would have for everyone who is looking to buy this machine and have no experience is to do a little research on how to make good espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc,. and play with the machine a little bit. This is what I have learned in the first couple weeks.
-Buy special coffee grounds (I use illy classic roast espresso coffee)
- Use whole milk (better froth)
- Make sure to purge frother before and after use. This will remove any condensation before frothing the milk and will remove any milk in the frother. Also make sure you clean it with a wet cloth immediately after you are done frothing.
- Froth milk to 150F/65C. This is what I found while doing research and it has worked well for me. Froth is best when you can hear hissing sound and see a whirlwind in the cup.
- Know your ground quantity for espresso. This is generally written on the back of the coffee grounds box you buy. I use 14g of ground coffee to make 2oz of espresso shot.
-Tamper well. The main reason to tamper the coffee is to remove air bubbles. You don't need to apply crazy amount of force. Just enough to get nice smooth compact surface on top.
- I like to clean and purge the espresso maker before putting the portafilter in. I have noticed that sometimes water will leak from the sides if it's not clean or screwed in all the way.
Overall, I have a good experience using this machine. For the price, I think it is a great buy. I had to buy a frothing pitcher which does not come with the machine. I had expected that there would be an issue cleaning the portafilter since it does not a have a locking mechanism as I read in other reviews.
I would highly recommend this machine if you are looking to make a good espresso at home and don't want to spend too much money.

We got this machine to temporarily replace a Brim espresso machine that broke after only a year until Brim either fixes or refunds the broken one.
Makes good espresso. Small machine, which is good if you have limited room. Not automatic shots - you turn the dial to pull the shot and have to watch it and turn it off when you get to the amount you want. Steaming wand works really well - easy to get a nice foam. Water tank is kind of small, needs refilling fairly often. Definitely a great little machine for the price point, though.

I have had several inhouse espresso machines over many years. This product makes a great espresso and is very well priced with excellent quality when compared to the high cost machines. The machine is a bit noisier than I like but with some manipulation of the frother nozzle and the amount of milk, I have reduced the noise considerably. I would purchase again.

We wanted an espresso machine to take as we travel—this one fits the bill, especially for the price as Deal of the Day! We felt like we won a prize! It definitely needs more finely ground coffee, so we whir the coffee a bit longer in our coffee grinder! Tastes great, steams the milk well. It would’ve been a 5 if we could steam the milk and brew simultaneously. But we are pleased! The warming tray on top would awesome if you needed to warm espresso cups. Compact, good results, easy to use.
