Great follow up to the first season, the challenge is tough and the ending will be epic.

No differences from the movie

The only difference between this "extened cut" is there's one extra episode about how Rengoku gets to the Mugen Train (SPOLIER ALERT!!! he walks), two scenes from the movie with 2 extra seconds, and it's the movie cut up into 22 minute segments. Just buy the movie version.
