It’s the first time I did so for a bestbuy purchase so I’ll just consider this an aberration.

Not compatible with Dell Inspiron 3583

Had to return it - which is not easy in this new COVID-19 environment. Dell has lots of product numbers - some have the same series as others - if you can't go to a store and actually try the power adapter into your own laptop, buying one online is probably not the way to go.
