    Limited the use. I prefer the old versions. The new future is the internet and bluetooth but this last is limited. I can't connect my sonos speakers to this equipment using the bluetooth. Too complicated to do the settings and the radio worst.

    Replaced a failed Onkyo Surrond sound receiver. Should have stuck with the Onkyo. Sound quality not as good. Unit rated as powerful as last Onkyo but is a lot weaker. Oh well, should have stayed with the Onkyo.

    Not the best receiver and not the worst. Its middle road. It does it job but has quirks. Sometimes it will play music from your surround, sometimes it won't. It's a flip of the coin.

    Very difficult to set up, no owners manual, called company and they are "lowering their carbon footprint" by not giving you a owners manual. Not very user friendly to use after set up.

    The reciever performs just fine. But it was missing a few pieces. So I am not able to see it at its peak performance.

    ARC doesn't work

    Received this Denon unit today and had it installed by Geek Squad, only to find out that the Audio Return Channel functionality within the receiver is completely devoid of function. You walk through the setup process and turn on ARC quite easily, yet no sound transfers back from the TV (preventing usage of any smart-TV apps), through my home theater setup. Called Denon support and walked through a system refresh, including updating the firmware, which still did not work. This is a very basic modern receiver functionality... for it not to work is highly suspect on Denon's part. I'll be returning this unit and never buying from Denon again. To make matters worse, Best Buy won't refund the Geek Squad charge even though the system is not fully operable. What a joke!

    No Longer Functions

    After two years of operating normally, it will no longer stay on more than a few minutes. It was a decent receiver for the two years prior but it’s disappointing to only get 2 years out of it.

    Does not connect to network or HEOS

    At first the product setup and use was great, everything worked fine for the first 4 months. After 4 months the receiver had issues connecting to the wifi network and could not talk with my phone app HEOS, which means I am unable to stream music. I spent an hour with Dennon support and did multiple factory refreshes and got the system to work again, One month later same issue. Even when I do a factory reset the system then gets stuck on the System Setup, just goes round and round and never allows me to set up the system again. I will be looking at Sony soon.

    Display quit working after two months

    After having this receiver for only two months, the display went black. While the sound was still coming out of the speakers, that has now stopped after Denon support told me to perform a factory reset. Now...nothing. I was told if the reset didn't work I would have to ship the receiver back to one of their repair facilities...at my expense. Never another Denon product for me.

    Pushed in to Denon at Best Buy over Sony. Hooked it up and it took several attempts to recognize device connected to select input. No reason for it not to connect on the first attempt. Returned it for a Sony STRDN1080 and couldn't be happier.

    The ARC is unreliable. I have done three factory resets during the three weeks since my purchase. I would return for a refund if Best Buy had a more reasonable return policy.

    Can not get to work.

    It powers up,went through speaker test fine,I followed on screen directions but will not work.I should have just stayed with a lower priced sony like my old one.

    Purchased in 2019 and 4 years later it’s still in mint condition. Paired with surround sound kicker speakers and this thing can produce. I only use the sub to 20% of capacity on my system because paired with this it can shake the whole house and hear music from my neighbors place. Denon has always been a reliable brand and I can see this lasting me for years to come.

    I would recommend this to a friend
