Not perfect but close enough.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have put off reviewing this reciever until I was confident I fully understood its qualities good and bad. First off you must a least go on line and educate your self as how the unit is designed to function. Next explore how all the basic features work. Many of the negative reviews would be reduced if people would do this. That said I really like this reciever. Good clean power with every feature most people could want or really need. I use a wired connection to the internet and all is well in the way things work. Like being and to get all my local radio stations loud and clear. No glitches of note so far but for record I use cooling fans to make sure the unit runs cool. Less heat less problems. Would I buy it again? Yes.

Great reciever for apt.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the this reciever for a unbelievably 199.99 on sale. It is well worth it. Ease of use is little iffy till you mess with it a bit but then it's a breeze. I am replace this with a Yamaha. This denon has crisper cleaner sound by far then the Yamaha. If I could give a 4.75 stars I would the minus .25 is the ease of use. I love this and will stick with Denon from now on.

Great receiver for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to purchase a different receiver, then I came across this one, people seemed to like it. So I purchased it and set up wasn't too bad. I have to be honest it sounds great! Well worth the money spent if you're not looking to spend a ton of money. Great job Dennon!

Good as a receiver but not much else.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this receiver for less then a month. As far as sound goes, it sounds great. I have had no problem switching between inputs. But you go into the setup menu and it is sluggish at first then tends to lock up. The biggest issue is that it will not stay connected to my network. I have had to do a factory reset several times to get it to connect back but it seems to stop working shortly after. I would try using WiFi but it tells me to unplug the Ethernet cable from the port and it is unplugged. It is doing the job my old receiver did but it would be nice for it to do what I paid for it to do. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you are looking for a troublefree experience.

Old Marantz died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being old school electronics, My high school Marantz died as did our 20 year old 5:1 surround. I took a gamble on "new technology" and was very pleased with the sound quality of the Denon vs Marantz THD=.08 and 7:2 channels.

Navigation is extremely poor!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds great but the ease of navigation and ability to change audio settings is more than limited. I was very disappointed.

Wish I would bought a different receiver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could have given this zero starts I would. Purchased 9/30/18 and it worked for a bout 1 month 3 weeks. It had to be sent in for repairs on 11/20/18. 23 days later I still have no receiver and no idea when it will be fixed. I purchased this receiver after reading good reviews on CNet and WireCutter. I don't typically write reviews but this one deserves a bad one so others can know of my experience. Stay away. I purchased the protection but what good is it if your receiver is in for repairs for about half as long as you actually have it in your house?
