Great sound, nice easy set up, got it on sale for a great price.

Works fine and is compatible with all the new 4K technology. The features were recommended for our surround sound system and other home theater components and the price was right.

I am still learning all the features of this unit. I have 4 ceiling speakers, 2 wall speakers, one center speaker, and 2 subs. When listening in Dolby Amos you can hear conversations that you could never hear in stereo mode, your audio is space in locations that are optimized to the producer intent.

This receiver can handle all of my AV inputs. I ran the auto speaker set-up, with the included microphone, to calibrate the sound and the results are wonderful. I have been using Denon products for years. This is my 3rd av receiver from them. The Best buy staff at my Cincinnati area store was help, and knowledgeable.

The setup was really easy and the speaker calibration with Audessey was very convenient. Passes Dolby atmos audio and 4k HDR without any issues for my Xbox One X. The wireless music play using HEOS is pretty cool. Eliminates the need to connect cellphone to amp.

I purchased the Denon reveiver to replace my old Sony receiver that did not support 4K The Denon AVR is fabulous and my in ceiling 7.1 speakers never sounded so good! The wifi is great allowing control from my smart phone. My Fire Cube let's me control the the AVR thru Alexa. The 4K thru the AVR to my Samsung SUD TV is great.

I'm a Sony man when it comes to stereo. It's affordable and very good quality. I love the sound I get. However, the sales guy offered to show me this Denon. I've heard of it but never owned any. To say the very least, I am extremely happy with the purchase. Denon far exceeds my expectations.

This receiver brought new life to my old speakers. I can now hear peoples voices clearer & the bass is more pronounced. I would give 5 stars but the web interface is lacking greatly. It would be nice if i could control the apps available for this receiver from my laptop... Overall, I am greatly pleased with my purchse.

Overall it’s a great receiver. I have some trouble with the system switching back on its own 2-3 times from CBL/SAT audio to TV audio. Where my Pioneer receiver volume was extremely loud at 50. The Denon has to be at 75 for that same level of volume.

This is my second Denon AV receiver. My old one is still very much alive and working great but I needed an update to a 4K tv, bluetooth and wifi. It took a little getting used to the newer tech in this AVR-S740H but well worth it.

I am not very Alexa literate. It took me 2 hours with Denon and 90 minutes with Amazon to make them communicate. Multiple issues with network and integration. Very helpful support. Now they talk. Major glitch is a Denon fault. It usually opens worth whatever it played last despite confirming what you ask. I did NOT understand that the unit only directly plays from Tunein radio. All other streaming comes from your external device whether Amazon Echo or phone. Maybe they are all like that. I bought it for my vacation home where we have no radio signal. It is a good bit not great solution.

This theater receiver is awesome! I have my BenQ projector, Polk audio speakers, and my Nvidia Shield connected to this. I have been able to connect my Xbox and raspberry pie to it with no issues. Audio and audio quality are outstanding!
