A good receiver for the price. Has good sound, and separations. The on screen settings display is very helpful. The setup microphone makes fine tuning extremely easy.

This unit replaced a very old tuner that died after years of solid usage. It felt great to upgrade to 4k, bluetooth, modern technology.

Very good budget 4K receiver. I'm upgrading from a 5 year old AVR1613 which was great but since I got a 4K TV I had to resort to ARC in order to get both 4K and surround sound (not TrueHD or DTSMA). Very easy to setup too.

The set-up is rather extensive and complex, plan on it taking a couple of hours. However, when complete, it's has wonderful sound and plenty of power for a medium sized room.

The receiver is easy to use and works great. It was easy to set up and configure. We have added speakers and a subwoofer over time and it was easy to reconfigure each time.

This is a great a/v receiver. It shows a bar graph on the tv screen of the sound which is nice. It has hookups for all of my equipment with hdmi connections. The sound quality is very nice.

Using this for a 5.1 surround system in a small room. Plenty of power at any rational sound level. Auto setup worked very well. Deserves good speakers and subwoofer.

Long story short, replaced a 10 yr old Denon with an Onkyo 2 yrs ago, only to replace that with this Denon today. No more messing around. Extremely happy. Easy setup. Sound is excellent!

The Denon AVR-S540BT is a great receiver with plenty of features. It work very well and it does everything I needed to do and is a great value.

Bought as a replacement for another receiver. This was a great price with decent features but I wish it had more controls for equalizing and # of input sources was higher. Good sound quality and easy to set up

Easy set up, self adjust of eq's with enclosed equipment. Sounds very good. glad I bought it. Remote is very good and comms with Denon easily. Very pleased.

No way to set this receiver up unless it is connected to a television. I bought it for music only, not TV sound. Pain in the rear to move unit near a TV but no choice.

Has good features for a 5.1 system. . Easy to configure using on board wizard. Good documentation and support website. The price was $50 less in Costco.

It has a lot of nice features like automatically changing input when detecting a signal, Bluetooth, 4K hdr support, and good sound . It moves my 2x12 inch subwoofer with no problem.
