I needed to replace a Yamaha amp that I loved that was having some issues that could not be remedied so after looking I decided on this Denon model as I have great speakers for surround sound in this amp totally enhances that experience. What I loved and setting it up is that you have a microphone that you run some tests with indifferent seating positions and it actually tunes the signal being sent to your different speakers exactly to your listening environment. Incredible! The other plus I didn't realize is that I had also just replaced my flatscreen with a new smart TV and this unit perfectly integrates with the functionality there and even turns off and on automatically with the television. I have to say there is no aspect of this unit that disappoints me or that I would suggest they change.

Easy installation. Great sound right out of the box. I wasn’t expecting this much punch from a mid grade receiver! Easy to adjust settings and a simple remote to operate! I would highly recommend this receiver

This receiver is very easy to use and puts out amazing sound!

Good solid amplifier. I wish it had at least one legacy composite video in but despite that it is a great av receiver. I was also hoping to eliminate some remotes but the Denon remote does not seem to be programmable to control other components. The included mic made set up and speaker connections easy.

Great receiver a lot of power for the price for a mid range receiver. Only wish for the price it came with some Av’s especially for sub to speakers.

This system works much better than the Yamaha i previous had that was equally priced. It sometimes will be hard to get connected with the tv if you change the source but is not super common.

So good I didn’t return it for 150.00 off I needed 5.1 5.2 someday. Wish I had Josh A.I. to test or a serviceman for different configs

I was Yamaha man until this wonderful Best buy salesman sold me on this wonderful AVR. I am running all Polk Audio Monitors and it sounds phenomenal. Trust me get it you wont be sorry.

Great receiver, great features, more than I expexted

Work great able to use all other devices with one controller.

Been wanting a Denon A/V receiver for a while. Finally got this one when our old one started acting up. It’s outstanding, especially the Bluetooth and WIFI built in.

I have always had Yamaha receivers. My Yamaha receiver’s subwoofer output stopped working. The Best Buy consultant recommended the Denon brand and introduced me to my new receiver. It is working great! I’m a happy camper!

I am happy and impressed with the Denon, they hold up to their name. Works well with my Yamaha surround speakers and no issues as a Bluetooth. I had two of them.

Initially had a nightmare trying to get this darn thing working. Denon, like most other companies, designed their products for people who have their understanding of technology. I will never forgive Denon for their delusion that the more complex something is the more intelligent it is. I somehow clicked on an icon that turned the signal to my television to 4k. It is far and away the finest picture on a TV I have ever seen. I still have no idea of what I did, and I'm scared of doing anything else for fear that I'll lose what I've got. Denon's customer service was useless. They are incapable of thinking outside of the parameters of what they know. They cannot, or will not, look at their products as someone who is unfamiliar with them. They are far away from consumer friendly. If you buy this you will be getting a receiver that is the lowest priced class A amp/receiver on the market, but you might be visiting the devil in his workshop to get the freaking thing to put out any sound at all. If you are not very good at things computerized, find someone who is to help you get this thing functioning. Ridiculously over complicated. They need to read Einstein on simplicity.

Replaced a 25 yr old receiver/tuner after needing to buy a new TV with hookups that were no longer compatible with the old unit. Easy to set up, and connect with my Samsung TV and phone apps. Especially like the ability to control the volume, power & other features with the new tv remote. Im used to the old press style connections for my speaker wires. So it took a moment to understand how to securely connect my bare speaker wires at first. But a youtube video later and i was all set.

This was a replacement for my old Denon AVR. This one has Ethernet connection to allow updates. The unit works great and the setup and option features are better now.

Excellent speaker. I love that I can connect my phone and control and play music from other rooms. I also like that it was easy to set up. Within 10 minutes I was connected wirelessly. It was strange setting it up with a fluance turntable though which is why I bought it. Connecting in via phono ports made the music sound like it was playing from a blown out mono speaker in a paper bag. Plays fine from other ports…

I used this AVR with a personal computer with HDMI output. I used a Dell U3415W display with 3440 x 1440 resolution and headphone jack for audio. I expected that when the Denon was powered off, the HDMI pass through would allow the full resolution of the screen and audio via headphones. This was not the case as the Denon AVR would only pass through 1920 x 1080 video causing a letter box on the screen. I contacted Denon support and they confirmed that there was no way to configure the AVR to passthrough the full capabilities of the monitor The second issue I experienced was the lack of a stereo audio output jack. No solution to this issue was available from the Denon support people. Denon support was very good to me. They helped me understand that their product would not satisfy my requirements. The product is very easy to configure performed the functions that were available flawlessly. Without my requirements, I would buy this product again and am keeping it for use in a different installation in my home.
