My old A/V receiver died and needed replacing. I looked around, and it seemed that the AVR-S750H seemed, on paper, to meet all of my needs. So, I got this one, and I'm 1000% pleased with it. Most important stuff first: Picture is great, sound is great and the "extras " provided really make this a flexible and extremely capable system. First, my system is 5.1 not the 7.2 that the receiver is capable of. During the course of running the setup program, I told it what speakers I have, and it made all the adjustments for me. (the BestBuy photo shows a small thing to the left of the receiver. That is the included setup microphone. For completeness, there is a stand that the microphone goes on for setup that is also included in the box. The stand is cardboard that you fold together. Easy to do, and the stand folds up easily for storage in case your configuration changes) Configuring the rest of the components that I have was just as easy. I am extremely pleased with the balance that the setup program provided. Now, what things are included with this receiver that I didn't expect? *A "zone 2" output selection so that output from the receiver can be directed to speakers in another room. *Bluetooth output capability so we can use bluetooth headphones. Bluetooth delay adjustment built into the remote control. The list goes on. But how about some things that I didn't think about when I ordered the system? I like that the manual is provided as a PDF file. I have the option of printing the whole thing (about 250 pages), referring to the on-line version or downloading and referring to the PDF file with a reader. Denon also gets kudos from me for a well written manual. *Both AM and FM radio with multiple pre-sets. Sound can be easily routed to another room via Zone 2. Blue Tooth (which I was told the receiver did not have) was easy to setup. So, in general, setup was very easy and video and sound quality is excellent. I am so very pleased that I got this.

i was on the fence with buying another AVR. i had an old Denon Avr487 from 2006 and there was nothing wrong with it except it felt like a full analog machine, no hdmi ports at all. this new denon has brought my system back to life. i didnt use the Audessey to calibrate the first couple of weeks, but i calibrated 3 days ago and EVERYTHING now sounds like Dolby Atmos. the speaker channels are picking up everything on the screen. its sounds like small objects are behind me. the onscreen Graphic User Interface (GUI) definitely looks like an old Atari game, but it does what its supposed to do. i downloaded the HEOS app for wifi control. now i can set the remote down and use my phone to change any settings. this works to help remove one more remote off the table. it has a trade off to either have a zone2 active or to use height speakers. i chose to have zone2 active with 2 speakers on my patio. the heos app can turn those on or off. the downside is that the volume cannot be adjusted from the app. you can set a constant volume and if you need to change it, it has to be done from the Denon Avr. overall this is a good unit, my only gripe would be the Zone2 volume and no included height channels like the Pioneer elite. the Denon unit is hdmi2.3 and Earc functional out of the box which for the price puts it ahead of the Pioneer, in the same price range and it doesnt a have an app.

This equipment has abundant features at a good price. However, getting the unit set up is another issue. The user interface experience is substandard. The instructions are not clear at all. Once you start the set up process you find the user interface takes you back to they days of the first Nintendo. Not what you would expect for 2021. I am left with many features unused. They are too complex and unclear as to how to use. For features that are essential, you will find yourself wondering if you have set things up correctly. For example, not sure if the surround sound is set up properly. The promotional data suggests this will for both 7.1 and 5,1 surround sound. After several set up attempts not sure what is running. Setting this unit set up with test you patience and take hours. The instructions state to call Denon and not return the unit. Well good luck with that, as they are not open at the times noted. In summary great features at a good price. Instructions, interface and support horrible.

We're very sorry for the poor experience. The S750H has an OSD (on screen display) based menu and not a GUI (Graphic User Interface) based menu. The GUI uses a higher video resolution and it's more colorful than the OSD based menu. A GUI based menu starts in our S960H, which is one model higher than the S750H. Regarding setup, the S750H has an extremely user friendly Setup Assistant in the menu that takes you through setting the unit up step by step. This includes your speaker connections. The AVR is defaulted out of the box to Auto decoding, so if you send a Dolby or DTS formatted signal to it, then it will automatically decode the native 5.1 or 7.1 format. If you send it PCM (2 ch) then it will output Stereo by default. That can be changed with the MUSIC or MOVIE buttons on the remote. Regarding Support, our phone team is available M-F, 10 AM to 5 PM EST. We also have a Chat service from our website that's available M-F, 10 AM to 7 PM EST. denon

Amazing tech, great power. Easily powers my 7.1 system in my basement (800 sq feet). Atmos and Dolby enabled. Integrated flawlessly with my LG OLED. Bluetooth or airplay capable. Perfect quality entry level receiver for the average guy. Not an audiophile but its the best sound I've experienced. Paired with ELAC bookshelves, Klipsch Bookshelf rears, ceiling speakers and center in front and powered 12 inch sub.

This Denon receiver totally awesome has 4K. Dolby digital dolby surround. It has an awesome awesome sound. And it has heos so you can listen to music in another room. Like Pandora Spotify SiriusXM. It has so many things in that receiver it's hard to put words to it. I am thoroughly enjoyed listening and playing with this receiver thanks.

My first step in updating my surround sound system to an Atmos enabled setup was buying this unit. I also wanted it because my old receiver was not decoding my streaming services correctly. This receiver solved all those issues. Not only can I watch movies on my 4K player with the Atmos tracks, all of the streaming services are decoded correctly for Dolby Digital + or even Atmos. Watching this content now is a world of difference from my last set up. When you can hear sounds swirling above your head and around you it makes a completely different viewing experience. Mind you I’m only running a 5.1.2 Atmos setup. It makes such a difference that I’m going to watch all my 4K movies all over again. Other cool features of the receiver is the Bluetooth connectivity and the online component for Pandora. Not sure if its a setting somewhere but you do have to turn the volume more than halfway up for optimal sound. It seems excessive but perhaps that’s how this model is supposed to be. The setup was easy. Just make sure you have your new speakers in place.

This complements a big screen TV for the ideal home theater in a way a soundbar just doesn't cut it. For a great experience, get 7 good (and matched) speakers, a subwoofer or two, and a 7.1 surround system like this. The Denon is good quality, sufficient power, easy to set up, sounds great.

Perfect for my needs. Installed into a modest home theater system to support a spectrum cable television. Also using HEOS app for wonderful music and Internet radio. Not the biggest, most powerful, fanciest; but for my purposes, nicely priced, feature laden, and easy to get installed and running.

I've used a couple of receivers before, and I have to say, in terms of set up and ease of use, this this tops the charts. Is it the best receiver of all time? No. Is it the best value of all the receivers out there? I don't think so, but I would argue this is one of the best receivers at this price point. It comes with nearly everything you need to set it up, and it has essentially all of the bell and whistles you could want for a 'beginner' receiver. I say 'beginner' because I think most people who are buying a receiver aren't the cream of the crop audiophiles who want to recreate the beginning sounds of the Universe, so you're buying a receiver because you want to have alot of functionality at the cost of the most pure audio experience possible. I could recommend this to pretty much anybody, simply for its features and the fact that it has alot of hookups for speakers and subwoofers and all of the necessary audio equipment out there to make a really good set up. Also, the microphone it comes with to help set this up for your room is a must have, and I recommend walking through the whole thing because it does make your listening experience overall better.

I have been skimping by with an old Kenwood receiver my wife had before we got married. No one in the house seed to care much about stereo performance except for me, so I just made do. Well, being stuck at home working, I decided to Treat Myself to a new AVR. This could not have been easier to set up. I know a lot of reviews complain about the outdated interface, but how much does that really matter? This is a receiver - I care more about the performance than what shows on my screen. The Audessey microphone did a great job calibrating the sound and made a noticeable difference than what it sounded like right out of the box. Power is just right for me and my 5.1 setup. Very clean sounding driving my vintage Ohm-H bookshelf speakers. Connection via the eARC is such a welcomed feature coming from my older AVR. Loved the way it recognized the source and automatically named it on the display. Also chose this one as it still had a dedicated phono out for my Technics turntable. At the regular price, you get a lot for your money. I picked it up for $349 over Black Friday, which made the deal even sweeter!

Setup was easy. Connect to your TV first. It's easier to see the setup on a screen. Downloaded the updates and it was good to go, Here's where I found out that the ARC/HDMI1) output does not do Surround Sound. It only does stereo TV, so you have to use the optical out to the Denon. I used Zone 2 for my patio speakers and I can use that as a separate system, even listen to a different sound source from Zone 1. Very convenient! I use HEOS to stream Pandora and I setup Airplay to stream my personal library from my laptop in my home office. Love this thing!

I really like this receiver. It has plenty of power, phono input, tons of features, and sounds great with 7.1.2 Atmos setup. I love having just one HDMI cable feeding everything to the TV now, since everything else plugs right into the receiver. Setup took about an hour, and the automatic calibration was cool, but I've been tinkering with the manual audio settings to get it just perfect. The only downsides were that the remote phone app didn't work with my phone, and the remote is NOT lighted! It's hard to conceive how you missed that boat, Denon. What a pain with 43 buttons in the dark. Mitigation is that my phone has a good universal remote app, and lights up the dark buttons. But I'm very happy overall, this is a dandy receiver :)

Since this was a new installation it took some time to get the Denon AVR-S750H Receiver wired. I'm used to having an instruction manual but the on-screen prompts for setup, testing and speaker balance was easy. The amplifier sound quality is good at all volume levels. Buttons on the remote to switch between Movie, Surround music, and Pure Stereo speaker use. I still need to preset my favorite FM stations but the stations come in clear, The multiple HDMI inputs enables us to send either Firestick, ROKU or Blue-Ray video to the TV. I hope to connect the Zone 2 Bluetooth speakers and the Bluetooth input soon. We have used the system for two months. Everyone is impressed with the sound quality. I recommend the Denon AVR-S750H receiver to anyone with wired speakers and multiple HDMI inputs.

I am not an audiophile and not well versed in audio tech either. So when I brought this home and began to set it up, I kept waiting for the point at which I would be stuck and have to call for tech support. It didn't happen. Every component I hooked in, including a six year old smart tv, worked just fine. The key was the setup program that comes with this receiver. It takes you through every connection step by step, and includes a special microphone that helps calibrate the speakers. I was able to successfully run this calibration a second time after connecting a new sub-woofer.

This was replacing a 7.2 Ch receiver that was having issues with the HDMI ports when playing 4K Blu-rays. Sound was clipping in and out and was unbearable. Ordered this one and picked it up same date. Install and setup was easy, it auto calibrates to your rooms acoustics using the included microphone. On-screen menus make walking through all the setup a breeze. Sound quality is fantastic and video is what you would expect from 4K video. It has all the video and sound modes that most home users would use. It auto adjusts based on the input signal but you can override if you wish. So far it has been spot on with the modes it selects. Very happy with this purchase.

I just got it to day an got It all setup up an as setups go it was way better then my sony strDh770 by far an keeps being better in everyway. the only problem I way say is idk if I can force it into 2channel for when I don't need 7speakers at night but as I said I just got it so maybe I will find away if not it's really not that big of a deal just a creature comfort. last I saw it says 165watts by 7 an others say 75watts by 7 an I believe it's more of closer to that then the 165. so this for me is a huge step up from my sony an most in this price range don't seem to offer as much as this does so 5 stars from me

I had a Denon for many years prior to this and was very happy with it so i decided to purchase another one. This one of course has many more features including blue tooth which works great with my sirius xm app on my ipad and just like my previous one it has a zone 2 so i can play music on speakers in my kitchen as well as my 5 speakers in my livingroom. It was very easy to set up. I did have a couple small issues which were very easily corrected by calling denon directly. They were very helpful and quickly trouble shooted my problem. I would definitely recommend this receiver!

Very easy to setup. Comes with auto calibration mic for applying the best acoustics to the room your home theater is located in. Automatically detects audio format. Clearly defined remote. Can support 2 audio zones. Supports 2 subwoofers and 7 speakers. Offers (6) plenty of HDMI inputs to support all of your devices. It also has an eARC HDMI port to support audio return from your TV when streaming video from the Internet. Has built in WiFi to stream music services/sites. Has a front panel USB port that supports the common media formats. Also supports Bluetooth (I have not tried this feature yet). This receiver is a very good entry level Home Theater receiver.
