5.1 Living in a 7.2 World
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Denon receiver. Easy to set up and I am a novice in AV. However, I have a 5.1 surround system and the easy set up doesn’t include back speakers in the 5.1 configuration. It only gives the option of having side speakers as the surround. After one month, I am still trying to figure out why my back speakers are not quadraphonic with radio/phono. So I guess my only option is to add two more speakers? In addition, I really had a great experience with connecting my universal remote to all my devices to the Denon: Bluetooth from my iPhone and iPad, DVD Blu-ray, Fire Stick & Nintendo. I still have more HDMI inputs to utilize. Just got to figure out that surround/turn table issue.

Denon Receiver Sounds Great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Denon product. I was going to purchase a kenwood or pioneer receiver because those are the brands I'm use to in home receivers but the sales person at Best Buy recommended Denon. I went home and did some research on Denon and compared them to other models. In the end I decided this was the best fit and I would try it out. I'm glad I chose this receiver. I hooked it up to Klipsch reference bookshelf speakers and a klipsch reference subwoofer. the sound is clean with solid bass power. I also like how I can hook up my vinyl player to it. I've played xbox, Wii, bluetooth music, vinyl, and satellite tv. The sound is incredible. if you are a gamer the sound makes you feel the power of the game play.

Great Receiver for the price point
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing sound, great power, easy to use, a bit outdated look but in my home it is hidden anyway. The app leaves a lot to be desired but is functional overall and easy to use.

Good buy.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new receiver because my not so old Sony decided to cut out the display light and never come back on again. I am looking at adding on another subwoofer and upgrade my speakers and this fit the bill. Very easy to navigate thru and I love how easy the remote is. The Bluetooth works great but don’t use it a lot, works great with my direct TVs and that is a plus for me. Easy to hook up and didn’t take a lot of time, it synced up with my Sony big screen easy. First time buying a Denon, so far I am impressed!

Best system at great price for Home Theater
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second Denon unit and it is very efficient. Easy set up and programming. Comes with an automated set up system which calibrates the speaker location based on the size of the room. 7.2 channel delivers best and clear sound for home theater and easy music listening. Denon app lets you control all the functions without the remote and HEOS app being in all your music apps together. Great system for home theater or if you are looking to add to you TV.

Perfect A/V Reciever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did some research and spoke with a specialist in my local Bestbuy store. I knew nothing about what brand would be best or fit my needs. I soon learned confidence in the Denon brand. I knew I wanted to have a 5.2 system that played 4k. This reciever not only does the minimum I asked, but far exceeds it. The pricing could not have been more perfect and the user interface is extremely easy to navigate. Anyone unsure or looking to upgrade a reciever, I would highly recommend this device. Dont think more expensive or higher model numbers mean it's better by default. If you want a 4k reciever that will do more then you expected, pick this one up!

Whole lot of bang for the bucks!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My geriatric Pioneer Elite receiver had a circuit board go out and not cost effective to replace one board and wonder if/when the other three would go bad. Running a 7.1 system in a 900 sq ft room and was hoping for a receiver which met my needs for less than $500. Did on line reviews and evaluated receivers in Magnolia and Best Buy. Denon AVR-S750H was a winner. Plenty of HDMI hookups, 165 w, 4K, Bluetooth, phono input, built in internet radio, Atmos capability, and 2 year warranty.......all for just over $400. Easy set up with pdf manual on line from Denon. Totally pleased with my purchase.

Best price for an entry into dolby atmost & 4k
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great price on a great product considering you are getting 4k and dolby atmos. The app is also extremely helpful to control the receiver. We have our receiver going to a projector so most of the tech is sitting behind couches and chairs to keep it out of the way. The remote won't reach to control the receiver behind these items unless you are in the back row. The app works flawlessly though. Highly recommend!!

Blown away by Denon!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blown away by Denon! I understand this a budget model but it covers anything I need it to do. I have this hooked up to a Vizio Oled 65” via eArc which allows me to have my Xbox series x plugged into the Vizio and pass audio to the receiver. The Denon sound versus a Onkyo is breathtaking! The details of the sound are crisp and clear. It’s gets powerful very easy and brings new life to my klipsch dolby atmos home theater. I could not recommend this enough for a great starter receiver!

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned Denon products in the past and found them easy to use, reliable, and sturdy. This receiver seems also to be the case. One needs a bit of patience to follow directions and set it up for the specifics for the room, but the directions are quite easy. The surround sound is very good on an inexpensive 10 year old Boston Acoustic system. My only complaint is that I cannot hook up the sound of a 10 year old Sony flatscreen to the receiver. Their customer service is very patient and responsive.

Great performance...once dialed in
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new receiver to upgrade to for playing 4K HDR content through. My last Denon (AVR-1713) still worked great after 6/7 years but it wasn't HDCP 2.2/2.3 compatible and so was unable to accept content from newer 4K-capable devices. However I had some confidence to stick with the Denon brand since it still functioned well after so many years. I got the Denon AVR-S750H once the price dropped by $150 during a 1-week sale. $349.99 is much better than $499.99! Overall I am very happy with the sound and the functionality. I only have a 5.1 system so I cannot comment on sound for Dolby 7.2 or Atmos set-ups but this receiver is indeed capable of those. Even on my 5.1 set-up it sounds great. Apple Airplay works well also, and I am using the receiver's ARC/eARC functionality. I did use the Audyssey auto calibration and it was fairly easy to set up the system from a speaker calibration standpoint. That being said I didn't give it 5 stars because the user interface is out-dated to me, not much different than my Denon from 6/7 years ago. Also, you really have to play around with a lot of the settings to get it to sound right on your own system. One setting, for instance (Dynamic Volume), made a huge difference in sound performance for my system. Additionally there is no printed instruction manual included to look up all of the settings to determine what they are and how they affect the sound. I had to find the manual online on Denon's website and it was NOT easy to find. Once I found the manual online it was difficult to navigate such a large PDF on my iPad. I realize that less manufacturers are including printed manuals these days but with how complex this product is (and receivers in general), Denon needs to either include a printed copy or make it much easier to find the manual online; give us a QR code to scan or a specific website. Once it is all set up it works great. Hoping that it is as reliable as my last one.

Great quality sound for a budget Atmos Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup and fantastic sound quality for the price. Only real disappointment is the Denon user interface. But for the most part it’s a great receiver. I have it setup with only a 1080p projector so will update when I upgrade to 4K. I have this driving 2 subs and a 7.2 speaker arrangement. Atmos is a bonus but it only picks this up from my 4K LG UHD Blu-ray, not my 4K FireTV but I suspect this is a limitation of the stick not the amp.

Great receiver with great sound and features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently did an overhaul of my home theater setup that had been in place for about 10 years. With moving to 4K, I needed a new receiver that supported it. I had a Denon in. Y living room that I was really happy with, so I decided to jump on this when I caught it on a $150 off sale. It was very easy to setup and sounds great. The Atmos virtualization works well, and saved me the hassle and expense of replacing speakers.

This is the one!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is the best receiver I have ever owned and it switches seamlessly across my different sources. I can change from tv to dvd and I don't have to wait for it to start picking up signal. This thing is powerful too, handles everything I have thrown at it so far! I am super happy with this purchase, if you buy this you definitely won't be disappointed because it performs beautifully for a mid-level receiver!
