I wont have to be concerned about over driving my speakers..but I shouldnt have to turn the sound level to 65% to hear the tv!:)

Posted .Hello, and thank you for choosing Denon. We would like to provide you with some important information about our receivers. Denon receivers, including the AVR-S770H, are engineered to maintain accurate distortion levels, which are measured at 100% volume. Once the volume exceeds 100%, distortion levels will begin to increase. It is completely normal to use the receiver at around 75% to 85% volume.
Additionally, we recommend setting the Dynamic Volume to Medium for optimal performance. You can also adjust the dialogue levels. To do this, press the "Option" button on your remote and scroll down to "Dialogue Enhancer."

Distortion is evident when the volume is above 50%. Also, the directions of setting yup Wifi are not very user friendly.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was going to upgrade my home system, had a older denon, so I patiently waited for the 2023 model to come out so when the 770h came out I waited till Black Friday sale. Bought, took home, hooked up and went through all the procedures which takes time and lots of work. After using it for several weeks I could not get it to come on with the TV, I had to manually turn the TV speakers to receiver 7 speaker system, and would not do it automatically. I'm sure not explaining this but believe me I've owned half dozen surround systems and know what I want. The operating system has changed in the 770h vs my old 1500h. After wrestling with receiver I finally gave up and took back. Customer assistance weather geek or denon has been severely degraded, I'm sure due to COVID. Even though my 1500h also gave me hiccups it works way better than the new denon models. It's sounds and work satisfactory.
