Customers highly value the AVR-X2700H's sound quality, ease of use, and straightforward setup process. Many appreciate its powerful performance and consider the price reasonable for the features offered. While some users experienced HDMI connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on the sound and user-friendliness outweighs these concerns. The HEOS app and 8K compatibility are also frequently praised.

This is my first Denon receiver. So far, I've been very pleased with it. It packs plenty of power for our surround sound system and the Bluetooth capability to connect with my Apple devices is great.

This receiver offers great features for the price. It has every major surround sound format and six inputs for blu ray, gaming, streaming, etc. I have a modest 5.1.2 surround sound set up and this receiver is perfect for it.
Dolby Atmos creates a much more immersive experience that previous surround sound formats even with just a 5.1.2 set up. The Audyssey speaker makes initial set up easy. It is very convenient to use eARC to pass all your inputs to your tv and also pass the tv audio to the receiver.
You should read up closely if you plan to pass 8k through the receiver as there have been issues. Denon provides a free solution to the issue though. I have also encountered occasional problems with selecting inputs on my LG TV where they are just missing from the list for a minute or two after I turn on the system. I can't say if that is a receiver issue or TV issue though. Otherwise the only negative is that it made me want to upgrade to a 7.2.4 system.

Just enough power for high quality speakers. Best Buy consultant gave the best advice. The company has the right name “Best” Buy. You don’t need to buy high end name brands to get quality sound.

Great product so far. This was a much needed purchase for our newly finished basement areas (A/V). This system has all of the streaming features needed and it is 8k ready. No complaints yet.

Not sure if it is worth $1000 (after tax). Two speakers have polarity issues no matter what you do. You have to give up. It does deliver clean power though.

Very good receiver. I recommend the Denon receiver. It has enough space to connect a turntable, CD player, tape deck and two speakers plus additional items. Good sound and performance.

We own several Denon receivers and they have all been performed well. We have different surround systems with in ceiling, in wall and free standing speakers and they all sound great. The AVR-X2700 is no exception. It replaced an AVR-2313ci, and this receiver is a definite improvement. Setup is easy. This a great receiver for the price. We highly recommend it.

This is my 3rd Denon receiver investment in a couple of decades. I go for what's leading to get as much out of it as possible. ARC support is what drove my upgrade need, 8K support is what lead to this choice.
The setup experience continues to be straightforward. Audyssey did a good job with speaker setup.
Only feeling of downgrade is with the feel of the remote, but it is functional so it's ok

Great 7.2 Channel receiver. Sound quailty and options to easily change from dolby surround, to music, to game mode make this good choice for home theater. Speaker setup is easy with visuL step by step tutorial.

I had an awesome sound system, the Samsung HT-AS720 and was very pleased with it until the well know "Right Front Channel" issue happened to it and I was forced to look for a replacement. I of course went straight to the Samsung website, thinking that they must have something better than the HT-AS720 I bought from them back in 2008. Surprise, they are out of the receiver business. So, I settled on a Sony, the STRDH-790, and bought it from Best Buy. I still had my Samsung Speakers, and good thing I checked the ohmage before I opened the Sony 790 box because my Samsung speakers were 4 ohm and the Sony would not support them.... So, I brought it back to Best Buy a couple hours later.
It took some research to find a system in my price range that could handle 4 ohm speakers, but I finally found the Denon AVR-X2700H. I had to drive all the way to the best Buy in Scottsdale, AZ (45 minutes away, other side of the valley) to see it, and I brought my speakers with me so I could hear it in their Magnolia Room with my 4 ohm Samsungs. I was pretty impressed with the sound, so I bought it. It was a bit more than what I was hoping to pay for a nice system, but what the heck, YOLO....
Setup wasn't too bad, probably took about an hour and a half or more. I couldn't wait to hear it, and boy was I disappointed. Even after spending 20 minutes with their special microphone on a tripod deal that supposedly dials in the proper sound levels based on how far away your speakers are from where you sit. I finally figured out how to manually set the distances, but am still not satisfied with the sound.... it just doesn't sound as clear as the sound I was used to hearing out of my old Samsung HT-AS720..... and the bass coming out of my Samsung subwoofer is nowhere near what it used to be.
I don't do gaming, at all. I won't be hooking up my Blue Ray player, or my Fire TV, as all of that is plugged in to the HDMI ports on my 75" Samsung 4K UHD TV. .... So I guess the 4k pass through bad chip issue won't affect me as I really don't get that technical. I didn't even want to hook up any HDMI cables or anything like that from the Denon to my TV, but I soon found that the unit WILL NOT WORK unless you run an HDMI cable (not included) from the Denon to the TV in order to set it up. All I wanted was to be able to plug my TVs "Optical Out" into the Denon "Optical In" and go back to listening to sound that was at least as good as what I had with my 13 year old Samsung. Sadly, I am disappointed. $984 worth of disappointed.
One possibility is that I may have to figure out how to set the Denon up for my 4 ohm speakers, as I don't remember having to do that during the automated setup process. I've looked all over in the setup menus, but can't find anything that talks about 4 ohm speakers, or 6 or 8.
Another strange thing issue is that if I put my hand within 5 inches of the back of the subwoofer, the Denon will stop out-puting any sound.... total silence. Then, when I move my had away from the Subwoofer, the sound comes back on. Even when I switch the subwoofer off, same thing. I can see both ends of the cable/plug that goes from the Denon to the Subwoofer, kinda scary. It's just a subwoofer that receives a pre-amp signal from the Denon, through a subwoofer cable, into it's own amp ....
I've tried to get some info off of the Denon website, but it is super slow... I mean SUPER SLOW.... I could not surf anywhere on it because no matter what I clicked on, or what I tried to search for, I could only get a couple pages to load and lost interest after 10 minutes of trying. I had no problem going anywhere else on the web. I even left the Denon website and came back to it a couple times.... no luck. It would have been nice to find an owner's manual, as it doesn't come with one, but their website is worthless and not worth another 10 minutes of my time trying to get a single page to load and coming up with nothing. It's probably jammed with other suckers like me that shelled out nearly $1000 for a big disappointment.
