Customers are enthusiastic about the HEOS HomeCinema Soundbar for its exceptional sound quality, deep bass, and compatibility with various devices. The easy setup process is also widely appreciated. However, some users have expressed frustration with the connectivity and the lack of a remote control, while others have found the app interface to be in need of improvement.

It all depends on what you prioritize. The sound bar and sub create legitimately great sound. Exactly the sound quality you would expect from Denon. Better than Sonos. You also get the sound bar and a sub as a package unlike Sonos. However, the wifi connection with Heos is far less stable and cuts out frequently (I have a good Asus AC router that has no trouble with any other device). The Heos app is trash and freezes and crashes constantly. If you could use a remote control instead of the app to control volume, I couldn't figure it out. Apple Music doesn't work with Heos. Despite the excellent sound quality when it actually worked, I ended up exchanging Heos for Sonos and am thrilled with the decision.

I bought this speaks few hours ago and set up was a breeze. I was able to get this system up and running in 30 minutes. I started playing some music from Pandora and sound was fantastic. However i went on to play music from some my other apps (Saavn) which Sonos play just fine. I tried to mess around with their app but couldn't find any solution. After spending 30 minutes on app, i decided to call their customer service. After 15 minutes of wait their answer was to connect my iphone via cable to this speaker. Seriously???? This is 2015. If i was buying this system ins 2005, i would have been fine with that answer. But when pay a premium on high quality "Wireless HiFi system", i expect it to work wireless. Their app is also pretty clunky and outdated.

    Junk

I would only recommend this sound bar system to someone I didn't care for at all. In all seriousness, some days it works, some days it will have sound after 10 minutes and sometimes it takes 3 hours. Every day is a new mystery when I'll have sound. You can hear muffled bass coming from the sub, but nothing else and then all of the sudden the other speaker will turn on. When it works, it's sounds good enough for me. I'll give it a half a star. You may be asking, why don't I take it back? Well, the first few days it worked fine so I tossed the box and don't feel like arguing. Today it's been on for 3 hours, no sound. Dennon web site is no help and I can't find a tech number. I've tried turning TV on/off, resetting sound bar, unplugging it, praying, yelling at it, nothing seems to work. I thought for sure a strongly worded letter would convince it to work. No go, even the card and flowers I left it had no effect. Do yourself a favor, avoid this piece of junk.

    Good Sound but....

I never review but I thought I would come back after 2 years and talk about this product. First off, the sound is good... deep bass and crisp sounds in general. However, after a little less than 24 months (with professional installation) I am sad to report I constantly get the red light of death, both flashing and steady. I can clear up after a reset but of course who wants to reset the soundbar constantly? Now of course this soundbar is MUCH cheaper but I still don't think I could recommend it to anyone. The app isn't that great either but I could get over that. Buy another product.

After experiencing less than stellar results with Def Tech sound bar, went back to BB and traded in for Denon Heos instead. App is cool, but I do wish I could control this soundbar the old fashion way too.

So bought this wanting to get rid of my 5.1 sound system knowing I would not expect the same quality. Just wanted to simplify the entire setup. So hooked everything up and it sounded ok....not so bad I was going to send it back. Then I noticed our phone and Apple TV Are having a hard time downloading content . Unplugged the sub and still only getting 3mbps down of a 350mbps connection. Reset router with no change. Unplugged the new speaker....and now my internet is fine. Just with that I am packing it up and sending it back to Best Buy in less than 12 hours.
