Stellar Receiver

Very difficult to set up

Finally, after hours of frustration and time, we returned it.

Excellent receiver

Reviewed all the brands and thought I wanted one of the new Sony's, but my son recommended that I look closer at Denon. I'm really glad I did. The price was right, the setup was easy and the operation is much more straight forward - and it sounds great!

Good Receiver

There was not a single snag or hiccup setting this up. It works flawlessly. I find the sound a little thin to my liking. I've always thought Denons were a little lacking in sound quality but for TV and movies it will do just fine. The only music I'm likely to use this for is to send Zone 2 sound to my patio speakers. One thing the Onkyo had over this was the music streaming services were built into the unit without the need for an external device. Overall a quality bit of gear. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Mostly deserving of its reputation.
