My Sony CD player finally took a dump, after many years of service. I had previously purchased a Denon receiver, and was taken aback by the superb quality of sound. So, naturally, it was a simple decision to upgrade to a Denon CD player to compliment my sound system. I soon learned that all CD players are not created equally. If quality of sound is something you strive for, you will not be disappointed. While many believe that CD's are becoming obsolete, it's good to know that you have a means of playing your stockpile of classic CD's, anytime. The Denon player gives new life to your CD's by enriching the quality of sound, and provides a break from the other sources of your music.

I ordered the Denon CD player because it had excellent reviews, it had a slim look to it and it was not a multiple CD player. it was simple to hook up to my Sony receiver. The sound is excellent, the controls are easy to understand and use. I couldn't be happier!

Denon has always been one of my favorite hi-fi brands, and when it was time for me to buy a new CD player I gravitated towards Denon and found this to be about the price I wanted to pay. I wanted a single-play CD player, giving up using my 6-disc tray CD player to use in the garage for when I'm working on my car. I like the single disc player, but my one drawback it that if, when you turn it on, there is a disc in the slot, then the CD loads automatically, which takes 7-12 seconds. Then it autoplays track 1, which would be nice if I wanted track one to play as soon as I turned it on. But, if, as is often the case, I wanted to turn on the CD and play something different, I have to turn it on,m wait for the load, stop the player, then hit eject. Once everything is going as I like, this machine is great, but I have the desire to not listen to that which I was listening to before, or, maybe not restart at track one. Other than that, t's cool. Haven't tried the USB yet, that's for tomorrow. I did recommend this CD player to a friend today. With the warning of my shortcomings found.

This product was as close to what I truly needed and worked out for both parties. The USB feature was the sales for my application.

This CD player was the perfect replacement for a 31-year old CD player at church. Our sound console had only ONE single unit rack space remaining. Sound system operators are still learning how to use this CD player. We don't have need to use it more than a few times during the year but now it's there when needed.

My self-produced CD's are mastered using only the finest blank audio discs. Yet, this unit quite often will fail to play the CD immediately after I punch in the Play button. Nothing will happen for several seconds and then the mysterious "Unsupported" message appears. Tech support at Denon are not familiar with this error message. After holding in the Play button for several seconds the CD will eventually play. Using this machine in a live performance situation is very embarrassing due to long delays in getting the CD's to play. I updated the firmware with assistance of Denon Tech Support and this did not solve the problem.
