I read the first book and picked up the second without knowing that they books didn't contain the content of the movie. So I had to get the movie. Although I feel in love with the characters in the book I wasn't as impressed of them in the movie. Evie in the movie doesn't come across as strong as she does in the book. But loved the casting of Mel. Overall it's a good movie but a lil too much singing for me.

My adolescent children have enjoyed watching this movie and singing along with the characters. I was skeptical at first; however, after watching the entire movie it displays a story of gilt by association and how to redeem oneself.

My daughter loves this movie. It is filled with extras and cool things for the kids to see. My daughter loved seeing how some of the kids did not know how to dance but through hard work and dedication they were able to pull it off. I hope it inspired her, but not to be evil....

My daughter loves DISNEY and we have a collection of Disney movies. Descendants is a Disney a cute movie for little girls that love DIsney princesses and princes. It had a little too much singing in it for me but my daughter loves every bit of it!

This was an amazing and very humorous movie. There were a lot of my favorite Disney characters I saw. It was great to see a Disney movie from not only the villains perspective, but there kids. There's a lot of singing and dancing which the kids really enjoy.

My pre-teen kids love the music, and play the soundtrack a lot. The older child is ok with not watching it again, but the younger likes to re-watch the musical numbers. Story seems ok, general Disney movie stuff, and interesting extrapolation with various characters/crossovers.

This movie was awesome! Great take on the kids of Disney characters. My wife and I loved it as much as our kids, great for the whole family.

My daughter is a big Disney fan and loved this movie. See first watched it on TV and loved it so we bought it at Best Buy and you also get a bonus necklace with the purchase. Great movie for the whole family to enjoy.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift and have been told it was one the child wanted. My granddaughter has this movie and loves it.

Movie is a great extension of the movies and characters that we grew up on as it includes the children of such characters as Belle and the Beast, Fairy Godmother, Cruella Devil, and Maleficent to name a few.

I was glad I purchased this movie for my granddaughter she truly enjoyed it so did I I bought it for her birthday because she saw it was going to come out on the Disney channel so I just bought it for her

I bought movie for my Nephew for Christmas. It was the first thing he watched that evening. Good clean movie, I rate it a good movie for young teens. Got it on sale, can’t beat the deal at Best Buy

Bought this movie as a birthday present for my little sister and she absolutely loved the book and she went crazy for the movie. If your kids love the book, they will definitely love the movie.

This is one of the best movie purchases we made for our kids. It was entertaining...even for us adults. Our kids watched it over and over and over....this translated to quiet time for me. :D

All the characters are children who were born from evil Disney bad guys. They fight off stereotyping as they try to create themselves in the story. My kid loves this movie.

The Descendants is a fun movie with lots of great catchy songs that will have you and your kids singing along. My daughter loves it as well as part 2! Must have movie!

I can't tell you how many times my daughter has watched this movie, she knows every song and dance by heart. Great if you have one or more girls in the house... even my wife likes it.

Good story line/theme that provided mystery and suspense in a tween-friendly delivery. And the familiar cast of current Disney favorites, those who have a good following and reasonable acting skills helped things. Music definitely appeals to the target audience; tweeners.

Saw the movie on the Disney Channel and then had to buy it on DVD for road trips and such. This movie is very entertaining and can be watched repeatedly without getting old.

My 6-year-old LOVES this movie & I don’t mind watching it over & over with her. She loves singing along with her favorite characters & knows the story by heart.
