The crisp graphics don't stop when it comes to bungie in this game. I very much so enjoyed playing with my friends and it's story was by far improved with this new edition! The gameplay as a whole is super engaging. I really had a blast checking out all the details in many of the backgrounds as well!

The disk you get packaged in the box is Destiny (year 1 release). Both expansions from year 1, The Taken King expansion, as well as a weapons pack, are all in the form of redeemable codes you can use through the PSN store to download the content. While the total value for the package you get is decent, I was a little disappointed by the way it was presented. I'm the type of person who prefers everything disc based, in the event I decide to delete now and reinstall later, I'll still have the entirety of the content. Hard drive space is hard to come by as is with only 500GB. And not everyone has the extra money to invest into external drives, etc. The game itself is great, especially after the changes Bungie implemented into the gameplay, questing, story, and multiplayer. If you are a new player to Destiny, as was I, these changes work retroactively beginning from start of the original campaign, creating a smoother experience than those who started playing Day 1 (so I hear). While grinding levels isn't terribly difficult, a consumable is available from the Postmaster located in the Tower (home base for your characters) that allows you to upgrade one of your characters to level 25 right away, unlocking The Taken King story line.

Overall Destiny the taken King is a step in the right direction for Bungie, and although it isn't perfect it has made a lot of improvements. The taken King improves on the lackluster story and provides more content for year one players. Destiny still isn't what we hoped for before releasing, but it's getting there.

Destiny is a complete game for those who wish to play a massive multiplayer online, but still get the feel of a campaign mode and small challenges. Bungie has tried really hard to make this game playable for a long time. There are some areas where the grind does get boring, but overall, it is really fun to play.

Destiny's the Taken King is the latest update to the Destiny game released two years ago. This update completely changes the game from new cut scenes and weapons, to new adventures and renewed gameplay and is a much more cohesive game. This update looks to extend the Destiny franchise for another two years.

Good multiplayer shooter. The story in the taken king is a bit more developed than destiny 1.0 but still quick and has some gaps. The new gear system is easier to grasp and the public activities are easy for anyone to take part in. It could use a bit more single player content or some same screen co-op but ever all a lot of fun to play.

I've played Destiny since day 1 and at first was underwhelmed. Update 2.0 has corrected just about all my concerns and makes the game feel brand new again. I would highly recommend the Legendary edition to anybody and for $60 you get the main game and all expansions to date which is an awesome deal!

Taken King makes a Good Game... Great

Taken King is an amazing game that fans of Science Fiction, Role Playing Games, and FPS will enjoy. It fixes many of the issues from the original destiny with regards to loots, matchmaking, and leveling up. Destiny is a fun game to play, but hard to master. However, its not quite an excellent game. To truly enjoy this game you need to have at least 5 other friends able to play to truly enjoy the content of the game. Furthermore, though there is more of a story in Taken King, it is still lackluster and is poorly delivered. The game also doesn't give you many clues how to play so there will be a lot of trial and error. To its benefit the structure of destiny allows people to enjoy in the game without partaking in raids or multiplayer, but it also does nothing to actively encourage people to do raids or make it accessible to do the high level content of games unless you find a group of friends. Sometimes you will get lucky and can find a good group that you can do raids with, but you will need to rely on websites or reddit to maximize your experience. Overall its a great game that allows for people who are casual to hardcore to enjoy.

Great value with all the included expansins. Thr game now seems to be a much more complete gaming experience. Tons of modes and a great quest system. There are numerous weapons that look and feel different. Lots of secrets and places to explore. Much improved over the game released last year.

When destiny first released, it was a great game, just low on content. With the release of the taken king legendary edition, you get much more content and at a much lower price. If you have a friend or two that you can play with, I recommend you buy. If not, it usually isn't too hard to find good people to play with.

I really love this game. It has a good story, and I like the gameplay. I was pleasantly surprised that the expansion codes worked on my playstation account--after my bf used them on his ps account, the expansion was applied to my account the next time I logged in on my own!

I am glad I took the chance. After playing the beta, I wasn't convinced that it would be all I wanted from a bungie game after the halo series and lost all interest. Many changes have been made to the game and its contents since then. So after a year of not giving a chance.. I finally did.. And I do not regret it. This is a complete collection of the DLC available and it is worth the money. Most of my friends have played it for actual days worth of time and still get enjoyment out of it. It's always an excitement to get new gear and compare it to what you have or meet a new and interesting friend online. My favorite game to play online for the PS4. Great game to play alone.. Even better game to play with friends. If you're looking to meet new people and try new things.. Go to a new country. Or buy this game. Whichever is easier. (online connection and ps+ required for many features)

If you liked destiny to start with the taken king adds a ton of new content and improves on some old mechanics. If you didn't like the grind in destiny when it first came out, but liked the gameplay, then the taken king is a great way to get back into the game. Lots of fun.

That I've played in a very long time. The story definitely had it's problems in year one but this time around it is vastly improved. Bungie does it again. Been playing it since Pre-Alpha and I've never been disappointed because of the gameplay.

If you've waited this long to buy Destiny do yourself a favor and pull the trigger. I originally played the beta and was pleasantly surprised. But for some reason I didn't get it at launch and then after hearing everyone loving it but finding the story a little lacking, weeks turned into months and then I thought it was too late to jump in. Then I thought I missed the train, but when The Taken King Legendary Edition was on sale for $29 I went for it. I'm glad I did. The story is a little lacking but everything else makes up for it. The loot, the gameplay, the online multiplayer MMO aspects, the random aiming assists that make you feel like a pro, all of it makes it feel accessible and keeps you coming back for more. So much so that I really don't want to use The Spark of Light item that takes you straight to level 25. I want to earn it. That's a lot coming from someone who generally doesn't like playing shooters online.

Before purchasing this I had only played Destiny without any expansions, this game seriously packs a ton of content. Bungie has learned from their mistakes and put out a way better game than the original Destiny. It's definitly a must have.

I figured it was going to be just a simple add on of a couple of quests and a few more mobs to kill. But in reality its was a lot more than that. Just when you thought you were done killing the main Boss the second day in, you figure well game over....Well not so...that's just really the beginning. so don't get discouraged. theres plenty more to follow. but a helpful hint...I am solo player by nature...some of the end quests DO require some help from others...so make friends...very good friends because you will need them....:) over all if you liked Destiny...you will love the Taken King. and if you didn't like Destiny...there are some really cool features they added that make playing a lot more fun. the exotic blue prints for one is cool. the infusion of armor and weapons is nice. and the quest turn in, is nice too. so yeah ...I enjoyed and still am ...

I'm 34. I've been playing video games since I was 5. Being married and having a family, I don't devote my existence to playing PvP games and getting head shots off on all of the PvE characters. With that said, I don't think I'm completely casual, but this game feels like it has a pretty good balance for when I do want to play PvP and is a great way to unwind for an hour doing a few quests and not being too concerned about unlocking an achievement for some uber gear. The graphics are good, the game play is nice, and I enjoy the RPG style leveling system for a 1st person shooter. Is this the best game? No, but it is entertaining and also easy enough for my 8 year old son to pick up and play. I think for the price (approx $35), this game is well worth it.

Coming from a PC FPS shooter world I found Destiny to be quite refreshing. It took a few hours to get used to using a gamepad instead of the mouse and keyboard. The game play is great and the story is very cool. A very enjoyable game so far.
