Hands down the best Dethklok/Metalocalypse album. The music on this album is very, very focus and doesn't lose any steam with any of the songs.

Amazing edition, just with the booklet is worth it! Great collectable CD, one of the best Death Metal bands out there!

A lot of reviews I have read complain about the bonus DVD. Although [adult swim] led us to believe that the DVD contained live footage from the 2008 tour it only has the music videos that were played on screen at the show. Which isn't bad but is misleading. The music videos rock and the case is shiny. I don’t like the cardboard case as I have had poor luck trying to keep CDs from getting scratched with these and the album art is next to non-existent. I was hoping that in forgoing the mermaid cover art I would get more brutal artwork, but unfortunately I was wrong. If you're still reading, here is the good part: The Music ROCKS!!!! It’s not better than The Dethalbum but it's at the top of a different pedestal. This album is more technical and a little more upbeat. The Dethalbum was Slow and Heavy and just felt brutal. The Dethalbum II is a bit faster and Brendon Small uses higher pitches while singing. This of course is not a bad thing. It just doesn’t feel as Dethkloky. Insane music that is sure to be loved by anyone who has taken the time to appreciate Metalocalypse as a humorous take on metal and not an insult to it. Plus, a bonus DVD and a shiny case. Not bad for a few extra bucks.

Everything is good about the dethklok album 2 but the bad part is that there are no bonus songs and that was wht i was hoping for.

If you are a fan of Adult Swim's "Metalocalypse", this cd is obviously a must-own, along with anything else that is Dethklok you can find. THE MOST AWESOME BAND. EVER.

Before I get too far into this, I just want to say that the music on this album is worthy of five stars, and if I were reviewing the standard edition of Dethalbum II, that's the rating it would have received. This album is more than worth your money and easily surpasses the first album in terms of sound quality and musicianship, just make sure you buy the regular version instead of this waste. Now, as for my one star rating... Everywhere I've seen advertisements for this release, I was led to believe that the special edition would include two bonus tracks and a separate DVD of live material. If you haven't found out the hard way yet, you get neither with this package. The standard 12 songs are included, as well as a DVD with the videos that are projected onto the screen at Dethklok concerts, however the audio on the DVD is just the studio tracks from the first album. In effect, you're basically buying the first album again with music videos attached. No live material, no bonus tracks, and therefore not worthy of purchase. As someone who missed out on the amazing limited edition of the first Dethalbum, which included a CD with enough bonus material for a standalone album, I jumped at the chance to get this one expecting the same treatment. Don't be fooled, stick with the standard release.
