This game is similar to other games where you choose how to play your story, but I love how well this game portrays that! It has so many branching paths that one might need a guide just to see all the possibilities!!!

This was a great game! Every decision that you make has a direct relation on game play. The replay value is high as each decision has the possibility to change the outcome of the game. I would recommend this game highly.

If your looking for a run and gun game don't buy this. If your looking for a game with an engrossing story, with character that you actually care about and gorgeous visuals as well as branching choices then buy this game.

It is important to approach this game with the right perspective before dropping down the money for this title. This is not an action title by any means. What this game focuses on is replayability. The game breaks everything down into a series of trees with there being a variety of directions to take dialogue and actions which could very well lead to hard consequences. The downside is it all comes across very unorganic and unnatural. I felt very detached from the situation as I was intently focused on going after permutation trees. I wish it would have come across less deliberate. It feels like a high end version of choose-your-own-adventure for those of you who remember those days. I really wanted to like it but I probably wouldn't have purchased it had I rented it first. I give it more bonus points simply for trying something different and being beautifully rendered.

Good story but annoying to get 100%

If you've played any of Quantic Dreams earlier games, you know what you're getting here. Game has good graphics and acting, but the story doesn't feel very original in the wake of shows like Humans & Westworld. The unlockable extras are nice (artwork, videos, soundtrack, character models). There's a helpful story flowchart showing you what you missed, so you can identify major branching paths to replay. However, If you're a completionist trying to get 100% the game can be VERY annoying. For example, looking at a picture on a wall might count toward 100%, but if you accidentally advance the story before you look at the picture, you lose the opportunity to unlock "Looked at picture" and you finish the level with 98%. Then the only way I've found to get 100% is to play through that chapter again from an earlier checkpoint, which might require a considerable amount of backtracking. Replaying the chapter is enjoyable if you're experiencing major story changes, but super annoying for 10 seconds of meaningless content just to get 100%. I doubt I'll be going for the platinum trophy in this game!

Scary good peek into our future

This game is a foretelling of our future. I really believe we will see this become reality. Androids trying to find their place in an ever increasing world controlled by technology. This game is more an interactive movie than an action game. Choices matter. You are constantly having to make a choice that will impact your character and their lives. You take on the roll of three different Androids as they weave the story around each other based on your decisions. The sound design and graphics are all top notch. The story is real and believable and the characters seem almost 'real' at times. Very well done game and a step up from the developers previous work. Very well done and a game that should be experienced by everyone, gamer or not. 5 stars

Overall a descent game with an intriguing story, The graphics are pretty phenomenal but your actions don't have as much impact as they say in the commercials there are only so many different dialogue paths. If you want a game just for the story definitely worth but maybe not the full price though.

Detroit is an overall decent to good story-based game with choice-based gameplay. The choices have a decent amount of impact for games like this. The overall story is fine, it's not bad nor is it close to top tier android sci-fi either. Also, the story doesn't go off-the-rails like other David Cage games.

If you are into a choose your own story this is a must own, not a lot of gameplay but the choices are intense and the branching stories paths make the game super fun and allow for multiple play throughs 10/10

I'm not normally one for story telling games, but this one knocked it out of the park! It's beautiful to look at, and you really feel for the characters. It also helps that it's based in Detroit (about a half hour away from me.) so the take on a future Detroit that is doing much better off is cool. This really is like being in control of a really good movie. And now that's it's only 20 bucks, it's well worth the money. Though I would have paid full price if I knew just how good it was in the beginning. I also really enjoy all the extra's and behind the scenes videos that come with it. Over all I say give it a try if you are on the fence. I was very pleasantly surprised!

If you're into games that are mainly stories then you will really enjoy Detroit: Become Human. The characters are grounded and the branching story lines for each chapter gives the game great replay-ability.

I don’t know why this is a game and not a movie. The story is great, the acting is great and the visuals are amazing. You really do feel like you are controlling characters inside of a movie.

I have been a fan of Quantic Dream ever since I played Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) back during the 6th generation of consoles. Heavy Rain was my favorite game from them until this one came out and now, I can say it has been dethroned. This is an amazing game. I appreciate the fact that Quantic was willing to not steer clear of controversial topics and address them. If games want to be considered art, than they shouldn't be afraid to address current issues in the way only they can. If art is an expression of the times, why shouldn't games be? If you own a ps4, you owe it to yourself to give this game a try. If you're looking for more substance in your games, give this one a try.

The graphics for the characters blew me away entirely. Wonderful facial detail. The story is pretty decent. Cool thing is if you don’t like the outcome, you can just play it again differently and get an entirely new game with different outcomes. Very emotionally driven. Rather political at times.

If you enjoyed any of Quantic dreams other games (Indigo prophecy, Heavy Rain, Beyond two souls) this one is a natural progression from those. Similar gameplay, but a much tighter and moving story.

Detroit: Being Human is an excellent game with a deep story and decent replayability. I've already finished it but I could easily go back in and make different choices and completely change the game and its outcome. The graphics are incredible and the voice acting is spot on.

Quantic Dream surpasses everything it has done before with Detroit: Become Human. A huge script allows for a thrilling story to have multiple layers that, at the same time, deal with topics such as slavery, the human condition or the concept of identity. A real masterpiece of the genre
