This game we my already high expectations out of the water! I love it soo much. The combat is fluid and the combo potential is soo wild. The new weapons and abilities are great and the story and VA were soo well done. Can't wait for another game in the series.

Flat out been a DMC fan since the first one and can happily say this game will NOT DISAPPOINT. The story is amazing and better than half the movies that have come out in the past couple years. Game Mechanics are amazing and encourage for constant combos! SSS!

I love all types of action games, and DMC always gets a lot of credit for kind of kicking off the third person action genre as we know it (attack, dodge, guard, parry, health orbs, all that fun stuff). But since the older games I feel like other series have made improvements to the gameplay and feel (especially from some of the original Devil May Cry developers that joined Platinum Games and made Bayonetta 1 and 2). I think Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising are still the genre's high water mark for me, but this game does make some big improvements over Devil May Cry 4, which is now 11(!) years old. There are three playable characters that share similar button mappings but play entirely different, and (in my opinion) the game doesn't really kick off until you unlock the third playable character about halfway through the game. I was just enjoying the game fine up until then, but around the halfway point the game really takes off (somewhat literally) in both mechanics and story. Outside of that it's using the same engine as the two latest Resident Evil games and it looks very good (playing on a regular PS4). The one thing I'd say if you're a newcomer, is watch the 'History of DMC' video from the main menu, or find something on YouTube to catch you up on DMC 1-4, as the game itself does a VERY poor job as positioning itself as an entry point, which is weird considering the 11 year gap since the last game in the "main" series (there was a very good reboot in 2013, but that story was unrelated). And past that if you're new, play on the easiest difficulty as well to ease yourself into the gameplay, it can take some getting used to if you're mainly into Bayonetta and the original God of War games.

Love the world, great story, glad they didn't do nearly as much repetition in bosses and story. The different styles between V, Nero and Dante were really good. I do hope for a DLC or a complete edition like DMC4 had in the future for additional characters

I absolutely love this game. The love started with the first one on PS2 and even though a sequel or two were kinda lackluster this one more than makes up that. The graphics are spectacular and the action is exactly what a Devil May Cry game should offer.

DMC5 is a great return to the original series. I was a fan of the DmC reboot, but this game kills it on all levels. Battles are exciting, the different characters are each different and fun to use, and the story was well told. Highly recommend this game!

For anyone who’s played the DMC series, this is the game we were waiting for. Skips the odd ball out previous game where Dante has the darker hair and jumps into characters we’ve come to love. While the environments can get a bit repetitive at times, the action is slick and upgrades feel worth it. All in all, especially when you control Dante, it goes full throttle. Make the devil cry.

Devil May Cry 5 is one of the best action games out there. Even if you have never played a DMC game before you have to play this one. Just Bayonetta can faceoff this game when it comes to displaying pure action madness.

I think Capcom did an outstanding job with this latest installment of Devil May Cry. What’s great is you finally get the whole cast in one game. It includes all the original characters from the trilogy. Plus, Nero from 4 and also a new playable character. Dante is still as cocky as ever and he’s got a new bag of tricks. Nero’s devil arm can also be replaced with detachable arms that serve a multitude of purposes. You will have to buy DMC 5 to experience the rest. Happy demon hunting!

I am happy with the purchase unfortunately it was the way it arrived that I was concerned, it was loose in the case not sure why it was that way

The game is a joy to play and give you the ability to experiment and try new things that work for you. It also gives you a way to replay and see the perspectives of all the other characters and their stories

Great game for hack and slash fans. Expect some initial difficully but the RE engine will have you coming back for gorgeous visuals. Overall, a must have for hack and slash fans or Anime shonen fans. 10/10

This game is completely action packed along with eye candy and great audio. The game can be challenging in a good way and is very satisfactory. Very good story and great progression as you gain abilities.

This game is right up there with the best of the series. Deep gameplay with the right kind of challenge. Very good story with some interesting characters. One of the best action games to date.

One of best in series.. excellent graphics and story presentation .. exactly wants the same game .. worth every single penny ... enjoy boss fights like God Of War... gonna keep you busy till last.

A great action game that lives up to the previous titles in the series. I had a great time playing as all three characters and enjoyed the story as well as the great music.

Been wanting to play this for a while. Finally bought during this past Black Friday. Gameplay is amazing, storyline & music as well. Definitely worth purchasing if you're a fan of the series.
