The voice acting is superb. I like how the producers of this animated feature got Dante's nonchalant and cocky attitude down cold. The thing about anime is that this DMC animated series suffers the same ingredient of making it a necessity to have an "annoying whiny kid" in the series. It's either an anime MUST or just something in the anime genre that I never really understood. You almost wished Dante would just take out the kid like he ruthlessly takes out the demons in the 4 episodes in this DVD. That's another thing, the 4 episodes are pretty good to the point where you want MORE. The only problem is that you have to wait till April 2008 for the next 4 missions. Animation is great. The presentation of Dante, Lady and Trish are fantastic too. I wish there were more than 4 episodes in this DVD. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the next one. DMC fans would definitely love this series in my opinion, I personally do.

First of all, this is a great anime. For the most part, all of the characters are true to the video game. Dante's non-chalant attitude is captured well, almost too well. At times his character in the anime made me think of how Dante was characterized in DMC2, which any real fan of Devil May Cry will tell you was the worst DMC game by far. At times the anime made him seem like he had no personality at all. This Dante is far more serious and dry than the Dante from the game series (minus DMC2). Don't get me wrong, I totally loved this show. The voice acting is some of the best that I have heard in any anime. Also, the level of detail in everything from the layout of Dante's office to the intricate details of his sword Rebellion is truly a remarkable tribute to the game series. I only wish that the organization that produced this anime would have worked more closely with Capcom to truly capture Dante's personality.

Devil May Cry is an excellent anime that stays true to the Video Game series. It's original story that keeps viewers wanting more. The animation is rated MA just what you would expect after playing the video game series. With colorful charaters from the game along with a few new ones, anime fans familar with the game series and those who are not will both enjoy and indulge in this action packed series.

The Devil May Cry Game series has alot of action and a very well thought out story line. Now the animated series can show what Dante can do on dvd. This is a must see dvd for anyone who is a Devil May Cry fan and an anime fan.

you have GOT to get this anime, it's based on the video game of the same name I was so eager to get it. And now that I have it....I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! This dvd anime is worth getting.
