The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter's secret life and and the gloss of Miami adds an almost surreal quality. The ultimate serial killer stalking other serial killers. The show has its twists and turns but you know who is always one step ahead Dexter. The first six seasons were awesome season seven and eight fell off a bit. Some didn't care for the ending I enjoyed it. If somehow you didn't watch it you need to.

Dexter is a great show that changes the way you look at the main character. This set embodies what is great about the show and it is simply one of the coolest sets out there

If you like to collect Blu-Ray discs, this is definitely the one to buy for Dexter, the only things missing for this set is to have the digital version with it. But it doesn't really matter

Excellent set of blu-rays it made a nice father's day gift.

First up, the series is fantastic with excellent story lines and plots. The quality of the Blu-ray transfer is top notch with superb sound. I agree with most fans the first 4 seasons are the finest in the series; however, as far as the final 4 seasons go they are well ahead or just as good as any of the top notch series being aired during the initial run of the series. My only 2 issues are first, that the blood slide case is not made of wood and could possibly be damaged if not kept under careful care. Second, for those who do not have BD Live, they will not be able to enjoy the extras from each season. However, there is an excellent disk filled with extra goodies which is top notch. Aside from these 2 issues, it is not enough to rate this below 4 stars as it is the series itself and the excellent transfer to Blu-ray that maintains my overall rating review. If you like Dexter, buy and enjoy.

Dexter is one of my favorite shows - it is a different perspective than all the other "cop, detective, crime" shows etc. As far as the show, 100% recommended, so I am going to focus more on the set itself. The slide box is not wood, but a firm cardboard-like material (still sturdy). The inside of the slide box, where you put the "slides" AKA discs in is all made of plastic and the quality of it is not great. I used gift cards, so it is tough for me to complain about it, but had I paid the $220+ for it, I would have been pretty disappointed. It is still awesome, but the quality of manufacturing is just not up to par

This is a great collector's set. Anyone that has seen the show knows that Dexter's blood box is very important to the show and having the seasons collected in this high quality box is only fitting for the show. It is true that the first 4 seasons are the best of the bunch but there is plenty to like in the last 4 seasons as well, other than the finale which everyone can agree was not great. If you are a fan of the show be sure to pick this set up and treasure it the same way Dexter treasured his blood slides.

Dexter is a good show but too bad the box set is made out of card board instead of wood. Overall a good box set with good extras.

This is one of my all time favorite series. I highly recommend this collectors set - worth the extra money for any hard core fan.
